[/quote] It's not just losing two games.They have struggled in some of the games they shouldn't have.I know they have looked good in their last few games but that was expected.I agree that this team has the talent to do what your saying but they have not shown this ability yet.Coldspring is not a bad team and if wo-s has really turned it around they should win and if they do I will get on your bandwagon. ;D

Well the portion of the bracket we are in is not that strong.Meaning it seems to be pretty even.No real power house to contend with until you reach the quarterfinals.Any one of the teams could get hot.Hope it is wo-s.They have just as much chance as anyone. Now to the negitive part.In our first playoff game with Huffman I had to go to the deer lease ( bussiness ) and we lost that game.Well guess what?Hope this isn't a omen.

After looking at the upper bracket in region 3 it looks like any of the teams will have a chance to make it to the quarterfinals.When they get there they will most likely find Carthage waiting.Even though there are some good teams in the lower bracket with Carthage I think they will prevail,but the upper half seems to be wide open with no clear cut favorite that I can see. This is how I see it.I know there is one more game but I don't see the outcome changing much. Upper bracket and record Tatum 6-3 Center 7-2 Lorena 6-3 Palastine 5-4 WO-S 7-2 Coldspring 7-2 Bye Rockdale 7-2 Lower bracket Gladwater 3-6 Carthage 9-0 Mexia 7-2 Brownboro 7-1 Bridge City 6-3 Cleveland 8-1 Bye Caldwell 7-1 Question is, who is going to get hot and challange?

Lets be real here.I'm a big wo-s fan and wish them the best in the playoffs but I have seen no reason why a team would want to evade the Mustangs this year.The playing field is pretty even this year and the Stangs will have to really step it up to continue from here on out.

I don't think Coldspring would throw the game.With that said, they sure better win because the seed has been planted here if they don't. ;D

[/quote] I think what Coach Huck was thinking was that at the time OF was up by 8 with around 4 minutes to go in the game.  He knew that if OF wanted to have any chance at the playoffs we had to win by 9 or more.  If he punts in that situation, then there was no guarantee that OF would get the ball back and if OF's defense were to force a 3 and out by BC, then OF would get the ball back with very little time left on the clock and OF is not a quick strike offense.  He almost had to go for in that situation with 4 minutes left in the game if he wanted any chance to get into the playoffs.  If all OF had to do was win the game, then there is no doubt he would have punted in that situation.
