  1. I’m interested to see how Hayden does at the next level when he doesn’t have to be “the guy.” I’ve heard he plays very well on his shoe team with a lot of studs around him. Averages double digits and makes a lot of great plays. One thing you can’t deny is that his offer list of 8 schools is as good as anyone in SETX. [Hidden Content]
  2. Lots of Hefner criticism and none for Clovers game last night? What’s up with that? Asking for a friend.

  4. Memorial has a solid squad and are really tough in the blocks. Very impressed with Lofton. He had his way. It was a great game for one half until Ned went on a 3rd Q scoring drought. Memorial was very physical with Hefner all night and he got frustrated. Lofton outshined him tonight, but Hefner DID NOT quit on his team like one Memorial fan said. Congrats on the win, Memorial. Y’all have our number.
  5. PA is the favorite in this game because they have more weapons than Nederland as usual. Hefner has a better supporting cast around him than he has the past two seasons though. This will be his best shot at a win vs Memorial in my opinion. It will take a total team effort for Nederland to pull off the upset, not just the play of the best player on the team. Hoping for an exciting game!
  6. Pretty sure he was referring to the fact that he has 6 varsity games against the Mighty Titans since he started as a freshman on varsity. None of the rest of his teammates do. Spin it how you want, but he is one of the most unselfish players you will ever see.
  7. Hefner had 27 at the half. Ended up with 33 and did not play at all in the 4th.
  8. Great win for Coach Smith and PNG! They are a scrappy team! I watched them against Nederland and predicted a 4th place finish. It might be better...
  9. PNG was very gritty and never went away. Shot the deep ball very well and played with more energy than the more talented Dogs. Ned led most of the way, but it was the sloppiest I’ve seen them this season. Coach Smith had a good game plan and the kids bought in. I agree with the guy that said the officiating was bad. Especially the technical call on Jackson for hanging on the rim on the dunk in the final minute. It wasn’t blatant and at the end of a rivalry game I think you gotta let that go. Hefner got mauled most of the night and very few fouls were called. Good performance by PNG. I think they will make the playoffs. I think Ned needs to clean it up a bit if we are gonna compete with Memorial and BH though.
  10. Is Bush being recruited by LU? Kid is a gamer.
  11. Wow 13-0 run. I bet English isn’t happy.
  12. This game sounds awesome. Wish I was there.
  13. Sounds like a good game. Both teams will get better throughout the season I think.
  14. Anyone going? I can’t make it, but would love some scoring updates...
  15. West Brook handled Nederland by double digits in the Silver Championship at the Bulldog Classic while Hefner was out with an injury. Will tonight be different? Should be a good ballgame.
  16. Some big tests for Nederland tonight at West Brook and Friday at Silsbee. The Hefner early season injury has helped some of the role players standout more and now that he’s back the team should continue to improve. It will be interesting to see how they do this week against some tough teams after having a great tourney last weekend and knocking off some solid squads.
  17. That’s a nice win! Didn’t Lufkin win the Bulldog Classic and beat West Brook and FB Marshall?
  18. A 90 burger against a good Aransas Pass team? I’m guessing the addition of Hefner is blending in well?
