Had 2 tickets to this game and left them on my dashboard. Someone broke my windshield and when I came back there were 4 tickets there. All kidding aside, I think the Dogs can win tonight. Hopefully we can get a little momentum going into next week.

Indeed. The Memorial DBs looked like the intended receivers on most of them. Two in the EndZone and one at the Memorial 10 yard line. Also a 2 yard pick 6. 😮

Ned’s best DB had 3 INTs tonight, but he plays for Memorial now.

Throwing 4 INTs and fumbling a snap inside the 10 is unacceptable. Soph QB needs a chance in this game if the starter is struggling. Great first half by the Dogs, but should be up 14 plus. SMDH.

Memorial 55 Nederland 7

Ned has a really solid freshman team and a ton of sophs on Varsity. From what I saw in the scrimmages, the JV will have a hard time. I would think WOS won this one fairly easily, but I haven’t heard.

Yes. The energy and execution was light years better than last week, but until we find a consistent run game we might struggle. It’ll be hard to throw for 300 and 4 TDs each week.

The 1’s and 2’s breakdown in the controlled isn’t completely accurate. WB’s starting QB played the entire controlled portion. Ned was the only team that switched QBs in the controlled portion. I’m not sure what the 1s and 2s breakdown was other than the QBs though. WBs QB played the whole time except the final 4 minutes of the “game.” Those final 4 minutes seemed to be mostly backups for both teams.

This was NOT the same team I watched last week. Nederland looked MUCH better than they did last week. I am still concerned about our lack of a running game, but there were a lot of positives in the passing game tonight. Hopefully we keep improving and are ready to rumble by district.
