I enjoyed the heck outta watching micah the last three years, but I gotta go with Jamaal. We are talking about one of the top 5 COLLEGIATE backs in the country vs. an OUTSTANDING high school back.. Jamaal, until proven otherwise.

Jacob Hanna-- Lumberton RB

I think Jerry Stewart is much more deserving than Moody. Moody's team finished around .500 and 4th in district with an average pre-district schedule. Stewart on the other hand swept thru the district in their first year here.

LC very classy and complimentary in their win. I'd love to see a race between those Rogers bros. They are FAST!

Somebody step up and represent SE Texas! What better way than to knock off the Coogahs today?!?! I'm a Ned fan that will be pulling for y'all as most of SE Texas will be as well.. Good luck to y'all.. Let's go represent 22-4A!

Kirbyville, like all the other teams in this district, will be playing for 2nd place. WO-S will continue to dominate this district.
-
21-13 giddings, 4 mins left. wo-s on giddings 18 yard line

All jokes aside, y'all's soph RB is going to be one helluva player. I was very impressed with him.

It will be a very daunting task this week. But, that's what the playoffs are all about. You get to take a shot at the best teams. Y'all should try it sometime over there in Lumberton, blue.

I went to y'all's game last week.. Great game, great fans, great atmosphere, great team, and a great group of young men y'all have on the field over there. Gonna have to step it up a few notches this week, but I am pulling for y'all!! Good luck EC!

Actually, the distance home is the same rather we win or lose.

I am excited to see this Rodgers kid play for LC.. He is only a junior and Friendswood's coach says he is the best back he has seen in his 25 yrs. of coaching. Neumann compared him to a cross between Barry Sanders and Reggie Bush. I hope we can at least contain him, otherwise it will be a long night.

i wonder why the highlights against nederland left mosley's long TD runs out? they showed some long td runs for Galveston Ball.

Mart by 20. I saw EC in person last Friday night and their run defense was very soft against Hemphill. Mart has much more speed and probably a lot more athletes than Hemphill did.

LM 28
Central 21
I think that LM has a great coach and the speed to contain Williams and Hall. Should be a fun game to watch with lots of D-1 talent going at it.

Stangs 34
Giddings 21

I think on paper that LC is a good 2-3 TD favorite over Nederland. I think they look comparable to Dayton on paper. I will say this, Ned's defense showed something last night that I have not seen all year. 48 mins of intensity and hardly any missed tackles. Problem is, I think every team in our district would have beaten GP. I won't predict on this one because I refuse to pick against the Dogs, but we are a sizeable underdog here. If we play defense like last night and get Mosley going early, then this might be a ballgame and you never know!

OHS,
You are right, you did see a glimpse of what Nederland will look like next year without Mosley when they played Central. Gutierrez had a very good game. Add to the mix Paul Roy and Cameron Bass who did not play in that game and the run game should be pretty dang good again. We scored 24 without Mosley in that game and the problem was the defense, not the offense. All of the sub-varsity teams were good so we should re-load as usual.
As for Lumberton returning a billion starters and lettermen, big deal.. They return all that from a last place team that lost to Ozen. They'll finish middle of the pack at best. Dayton is clearly the team to beat. Central, LC-M, Nederland and PN-G should battle for the remaining playoff positions.
