I dont really pay attention to all-state lists, they are just as bad as the all-district lists. 

Posts like that is why some people jump on you or call you a Hater. When have we brought up out SC's in the past? Also, why don't you add some more teams to our win list over the years instead of ones you know people will say "big deal" to. Lumberton?? Dude, we haven't played Lumberton in over 10 or 12 years. I know what you post is trying to imply and it's pretty spot on when people call you s hater or even worse, a troll.

Quit saying Gilmer has only played weak teams because that doesn't mean they can't play.Do you think coach T is saying this crap to his kids.Sounds like some on here are trying to convince themselves Gilmers not that good.Guess what....they are. 

I don't disagree with you. I know full well the triumphs an tradition of Newton. I wish we had a little more competition earlier.......but Daingerfield was down and I mean way down. Tatum was about as inconsistent as they could be. Carthage tried hard but were mismatched. They still went a couple rounds deep. Liberty Eylau went 4 rounds and took Argyle to the brink of elimination. From the outside it looks like we played a week schedule and to some part I will agree with that. But what we did was take some very tradition rich schools and beat them senseless. You can't take that away from us.

Well I didn't know we were affirming our respect and love for our team off of a game that hasn't been played yet! The Past? What else can you ground your faith in? If you have no history to stand firm on then you have no foundation and without a foundation the system is weak and will crumble. You are right our boys have to go play and play dang near a perfect game. We can not afford to have the mistakes that plagued us last week if we want a chance to win this one. Gilmer is the real deal and are 15-0 for a reason. They dominate their opponents and we respect that so we have to bring it or we too will fall victim. Our boys have what a friend of mine calls "INTESTINAL FORTITUDE" and I can't wait to see them give 112%. WOS needs points to win and I agree that 30-40 points is where we need to be as the final whistle blows to pull this one out. Let's Go Boys. MUSTANG NATION "IN GOD WE TRUST" 

Gilmer is the favorite and for great reason. Even if the Stangs hold em to half their season average of points, WOS will need at least 31 to win. Its almost unheard of really. What is completely unheard of though is the concrete fact no game in the past has ever won the next game. Go play.

Okay. I have to give much credit to WOS and the coaching staff after the performances i've seen these past few weeks. It was an amazing feat holding a top ranked la marque offense scoreless (hasnt been done in at least 8 years), Handling La Grange's potent offense, and completely dominating a state contender in Sinton. I see a lot of "like-ness" in this team that i seen in the la marque teams of old.... except with better coaching. lol This is going to be the greatest match up of the State Championship by far this year between WOS vs Gilmer. Gilmer is also very talented. A lot more so than la marque or Sinton. #21 for Gilmer reminds me a lot of Jonathan Gary the way he runs with the ball. He has great speed. He will be one to watch for in this matchup. I'll be watching from a distance. Goodluck.

For some people on this board and in the state, this game is over before it is even played. Go ahead and mail Gilmer the trophy and save everyone a trip to Dallas. That is some views. Stranger things have happened that wos winning the state championship. They haven't made it this far for no reason. Wos is an outstanding football team. It will take a great game to beat gilmer, but gilmer is gonna have to play great to win also. 48 minutes for the rest their lives. If they leave it all out there wos will be fine. That was a tough loss. Not many people gave us a shot in this game and we showed up and showed them we belong. We had to be perfect and that insane punt return was a heartbreaker. Huge congratulations to WOS and their fans. Good luck next week.

To my Pirates thank you for another incredible season. I know you are hurting, but hold your head high...you have done yourself PROUD. To our seniors we will miss you so much. Go out and use the lessons you learned as a Pirate and continue to be great men!

Our players are not focused on the media.  The media is focused on THEM.  Big difference.  Our kids don't even seem to want to answer their questions!  However, if some of these kids are going to play at the next level they definitely need a media training course.  You can tell they are nervous, but I don't think they've said anything bad or wrong.  Our local news people are just trying to get ratings off us and sell newspapers.  Last night your kids were on the news.  It's a necessary evil these days.

Some say it started on the 29th of August. I say, way before that with the offseason program but here is my account of this special season. It started out kenneling some worthy and pesky BULLDOGS, then down south to take the Pride out of some WILDCATS, before grounding some EAGLES, then HUMBLING some more CATS, Swatting 62 YELLOWJACKETS, declawing some PANTHERS before the big showdown with some gritty and determined BRONCOS that it took a little Extra to corral, then it was on to cage some more EAGLES and to show we are SPARTA that we are Crosby, before bowing to a KING and realizing that through failure the price you pay for greatness is made a little sweeter if you experience the highs and the lows, then as the stakes increased so did the adversary, declawing some more PANTHERS, enjoying some Alaskan SANDCRAB sprinkled over some BLUE BELL whilst playing some not so HUNGRY, HUNGRY HIPPO, which brings us to this moment in time, two adversaries stand in the way of Crosby immortality and this TEAMS date with destiny and in the words of the beloved Gene Peterson, HOW SWEET IT IS!!!! #CC TAKEOVER..#CodeRed!!!!

I know we still have a few teams left in playoffs but I wanted to say Thank you to all of you for another amazing season of fun on here. I really feel like we are one big family at the end of the day. Can't wait for next season and my boys to win more games.
