  1. Toughest is Newton, WOS, Silsbee, and Dayton Weakest is East Chambers What's your pick?
  2. Very impressive. The fans of Dayton should be proud, and hopefully the rest of 4A schools in the area will follow the same path. I would love to see that type of stadium at the Reservation, but with about 18,000 seats and better parking. Keep up the good work Dayton.
  3. I think this years crop of QB's will be one of the more talented group of QB's in a long time. What I mean is as a whole, not just one talented QB, and some of them will only be juniors. This will be an exciting seaon. Of course if what I hear is true about several teams going to the spread offense this season that will help stat wise.
  4. Yeah, I remember him. I graduated from WB afew years behind him. This year I coached Little League baseball against him. About 5'6" 145 now, but when he played in HS he played like a 300 lb lineman and was strong.
  5. The luck of the draw. We last years pre-season #1 and this years #1. Hey you can't say that we hide from anybody. I hope LaMarque is smaller than last year. Them and Brenham was huge and fast. Oh well, it'll be fun anyway. You never know what can happen..Scalp'em NDNS.
  6. Great to see the over rated t.u. Longhorns staying home. I can't understand why thier still in the top 10
  7. I'm curious to know who the smallest and biggest football player you've seen in High School?
  8. Hopefully they check for Xanex, lorcet, hydrocodone, and other pills because if you didn't know that's the biggest problem in the area.
  9. Look, the majority of high schools with the exception of a few go through phases where they have good teams, then bad teams. It depends on what crop of athletes are at the school at that time. Don't get me wrong if the crop of athletes aren't the most talented bunch, then that's when coaching can hurt you the most. Alot of changes need to be made, but the Indians will be back. Your not going to see alot of teams from SE TX going to the finals every year due to the growth in all other areas of the state where new schools are opening and a large influx of people are moving. We are who we are in this part of Texas. We may not be as good as we once were, but people in the state will still remember when they play a team from this area. Good luck to all area teams and proove me wrong.
  10. I do believe education is better in the suburbs of big cities, and hopefully we do catch up on the technology. First, we have to begin to hire some people from the outside that have new ideas. This goes for athletics as well. The nice fields are nice to have, but we don't get the money like some of the suburb districts. Our area has alot lower enrollment compared to the booming Dallas, Austin, and Houston areas. I'm still proud to call the Golden Traingle home!! About BISD, they should build one stadium for all 3 schools to play at, that's what they do in all the Houston area districts, and the field's are awesome.
  11. Even though it was early in the season, the score between Cy Falls and Westfield is scary. That's the same team that smoked WB early in the season. Proud 92' grad of WB converted to NDN, GO BROOK!
  12. Well, with only a couple of teams left to play and just about nobody left in the playoffs from this area, tell me your thoughts on the area football this year. Me personally, I don't think atleast for this year we as the golden triangle could compete. Please give me ya'lls insight on this.
  13. The team that Wb is playing, is students from willowridge and FB Hightower. It's fairly a new school, but if they took kids from those schools, I think they'll have athletes. The Fort Bend District isn't that strong though. I just moved back to this area from there, and the teams in that district didn't impress me. Anyway, I'm a Brook grad, and I hope they win. Go Brook!
  14. I just looked at 4A D1 bracket and on paper it looks soft. If NED wins first two games, I don't see any power house teams or maybe I missed one. The second game is going to be against a very tough team, but if NED can pull it out who knows?
  15. It's all crazy. I think 3 is good number and then a part of me says maybe 4. I think Texas ends up with a 6A before long. Just too many HS opening up. It's really getting tough to go far in the playoffs for anybody. Look at your big growth area's such as The Woodlands, where they opened a new school and Humble where a new school opened. I think if you don't refigure enrollment they will eventually go to 4 teams atleast for 5A and 4A. 5A is already doing it this year.
  16. It will be closer than people think. Dayton 42 Crosby 14
  17. Central embarsses BH and wins by 3 TD's. Central too big and too fast for BH. Good game for the first half and then all Central after that.
  18. Nederland wins in a close game if the defense shows up. You know Mosley will show up.
  19. Eagle82, I do respect ya'lls program. I never said I didn't. I think ya'll compete in all sports. My opinion is alot of folks from there sure have been smack talking and that's fine, your having a great season. But please don't put me on the level of the trash talking I've seen from SOME BH fans. Again congrats on the season and good luck in the playoffs except against the GT teams.
  20. Dayton appeared to be a young team. Looks like they are going to be tough for several years to come. Dayton fans be careful on the way home and good luck in the playoffs.
  21. Just left the game, my kids fell asleep. Think it was the PNG play calling and play by our team. Dayton is good, but they didn't impress me like some of the other teams like Brenham. We stunk it up tonight. 1st quarter was good cause we kept the ball, but after that it was all Dayton. Good luck to all the district teams in the playoffs.
