  1. Hey, I know alot of people joke about Lumberton, but they are getting better. I think Lumberton needs to watch and learn from Katy HS. Don't laugh about it because Katy hardly ever has a player that goes D-1. They have solid HS players that execute, don't make many mistakes, and play as a team. Katy has never had much speed at the skill positions and hardly ever has an All-State player. I'm just saying when a team is down on themselves, you have to find motivation somewhere's, and I would think that if you mock yourselves after such a successful team as the Katy Tigers you can't go wrong. Even though I'm from a 22-4a rival school, I would like to see Lumberton do well. Try it and see if it makes a difference. Good Luck!
  2. They all play at the district stadium together, example Katy ISd, Cy-Fair ISD, and so on. That's what almost 100% of the school districts in the Houston area do. It doesn't matter if it's 50% white or not. So what you're saying is if a school has atleast 50% white then if they get something then it's racsism. Give me a break. It's this narrow minded area whether it's black or white that keeps us 20 years behind places like the Houston area. Everybody wants to sugar coated instead of saying WHAT you really mean. Once again build one nice stadium for BISD, and call it BISD Stadium, that way nobody gets thier feelings hurt.
  3. Just a little history for you guys. I'm originaly from Beaumont, and yes I had to pick a ping pong ball in Elem to see where I was going to be bused to. I've been through that joke of a school district and graduated from the Brook. I left Houston 2 years ago, and Morton Ranch HS, Mayde Creek HS in Katy ISD is mostly minoroities. Cy-Falls, Cy-Ridge, Langham Creek and couple of others in Cy-Fair are mainly minorities. HAR.COM did have the school stats that I could back my saying up with, but for whatever reason they don't let you go to it anymore. Fort Bend ISD along with these school districts are a melting pot and there is no such thing as your WHITE schools anymore with maybe a few exceptions. The point I was trying to make was that some school districts spend thier money on athletics and some I don't know what they spend it on. I agree that BISD needs to build One stadium and have sub-varsity fields at the school. I don't know where you would build a nice big stadium at Central anyways. Much love to everyone
  4. Groves National beat BC waiting on the winner of the loser's bracket. Possibly back to back years in Waco!!!!
  5. Where's all of our hard earn tax paying money going then? We in PNG ISD along with WOS are considered wealthy districts, which is a joke. These communities are all hard working communities and barely stay afloat yet we HAVE to give millions of dollars to poor school districts. This is the biggest joke. Our kids suffer from the dollars lost why the so called valley and inner city kids get the benefits. Look at the stadiums they are buiding in the valley compares to the one's in this area. Also, CY-Fair and the northern section of Katy is mostly minorities and they're schools are way nicer than some of your more so called affluent area's.
  6. Well, how much longer till baseball season? It's crazy that he left this close to the begining of the season. We need help!!!!! Does anyone want to come coach at the Rez with Burnet there?
  7. How about WB OL Calvin Collins (A&M, Atlanta), OL Chuck Langston (OU), Earl Dotson (GB Packers) DB Johnny Norwood (Alabama,U of H, NY Jets), Jerry Ball (SMU, Detroit), QB Gerald Landry (U of H), and there are others I probably missed. That's just WB.
  8. Arthur Lewis and Clayton were coaches at the Brook when I played. I thought both of them were good coaches. I think A lewis would be a better head coach than Clayton, but I still think Clayton should atleast be an assistant coach in the district. Unless he's changed from the early 90's, he was fair but strict and expected 110% from the players. Coach Lewis was done wrong in my opinion, and I don't know all the guys at Ozen, but you don't think it could be the PLAYERS sometimes instead of the coaches. Also, someone mentioned that A Lewis couldn't beat MC so he was fired. What's up with that, it sounds like the overrated leader of the district has issues.
  9. Enrollment doesn't have anything to do with how good you are. Hopefully you know football well enough to know that enrollment just means that you have more depth. Take WOS, powerhouse program year in and year out. Small enrollment when they were in the upper divisions and still put it to the bigger schools. Look at all the other sports besides football, it DOESN'T matter how big the school is, so please quit using that as a crutch. Either you have good quality athletes or you don't. It comes and goes in spurts depending on what class is good or not so good. Look at the overall program before bashing them. Good luck to all this football year(Honor, Pride, Tradition) Scalp'em Indians.
  10. Nice work, But WOS is not the best football program in the history of Texas. They haven't been around for as long as some of the schools. Look at the schools that have 500+ wins. To me the Amarillo's, Plano's, Highland Park's, Temple's are the top schools. Don't get me wrong WOS winning percentage is immpessive, but I don't think thier the top program by far.
  11. If you could go back in time, or for you younger guys right now, what high school football team would you most likely want to play for and why? What position would you want to play the most?
  12. This might change with Baytown getting another HS. Well, only until the new realignment I guess.
  13. I like Dayton being in our district. It makes it an even tougher district. With thier new stadium, maybe other AD's will see it and do the same thing athier school. They may only have another 3 years in 4A if the Houston population starts going that way though. The only thing I seen and it was kind of tasteless was last year in basketball, thier varsity went to center court and huddled up, and chanted the Indian fight song. That pissed some people off.
  14. Now, let me defend myself on this one. I placed a post on another thread about how the computer showed who would win in 2006. The only district I found where Lumberton would make the playoffs was where EC was at 24-2A. I even said that I wasn't trying to down the teams in that district, but I found one where Lumberton would go to the playoffs. There was nothing mentioned negative about EC or D-Ville until you two guys jumped on PNG for what ever reason. As far as running my mouth, I will defend my community school just like you and pretty much eveyone on this website. Once again, I wasn't trying to rag on anyone. By the way, ECBucFan, I have deleted my comments on the other thread so they shouldn't be misinterputed again!!!! :-*
  15. What does KV have coming back for them to leap over WOS this year. Offensive/Defensive starters or athletes that WOS doesn't have. Just curious.
  16. I figured this would be something to talk about. Beaumont in late 80's went to two super high schools, only to go back to three high schools several years later. Port Arthur combined all three of thier high schools into one large high school. In my opinion, they would be better off to have two 4A schools than one 5A school. Tell me your thoughts. This isn't a joke and there is no punch line.
  17. I think Ozen goes 5-5 this year with a new head coach. Losses to WB,PAM, (homer)PNG,Dayton,Central.
  18. I said that Ozen has the toughest schedule after you brought it up. I don't know where you got male cheerleader from though? I actually played and from WB. I moved to MC in the 90's, but I forgive you.
  19. Maybe 1 loss, but WOS is always strong. My son played against them in PeeWee football last year, and that team was even strong. WOS is full of tremendous athletes. There's no reason to doubt that they will make another run in the playoffs and win district. Coaching doesn't matter at this school, just give them the football and let them run towards the endzone. Doesn't matter who is coaching at WOS. That's just being honest.
  20. Let it go, there is no more SFA. Ya'll combined all 3 schools and still can't win a championship. Give me a break. Look at all the playoff wins throughout the years, and talk to me. It's funny how every 3-A or former 3-A school talk trash on MC. With the exception of WOS or Newton, the rest of ya'll have no reason to rag on any other teams. With that said, you can throw away that old dusty Eagle uniform. ;D
  21. Your right, and I stand corrected. Ozen does have the toughest schedule, but not by far.
  22. Four 3-A schools huh? 2006 Records Non District Shepherd 2-8, Orangefield 4-6, H-F 3-7, H-J 3-7 District Deweyville Bi-District, Buna Bi-District Yea tough schedule!!!!!! PN-G 2006 Records Non-District LaMarque 15-1 4A State Champs, Crosby 6-4 4A Bi-District, Silsbee 9-3 3A Regional Finalist District Central 4A Area Finalist, Dayton 4A Area Finalist, Nederland Regional Finalist Not to mention the rest of the district is tough enough. That's not ignorance, it's knowledge, and hopefully Lumberton won't beat us. They are beginning to play better.
