We dont teach our kids that..Just like i am sure you dont teach your kids that..but they are kids and football is a physical sport.

    I am one of the coaches for Ned White. We lost. I thought we were a better team than them. Our best player was ejected from the game middle of 3rd quarter. Did not like it one bit....That is what I meant by that's all I have to say about that.

    Had a kid that did not show up for practice yesterday that had a set of teeth marks, top and botton on his tricep...but [glow=red,2,300]my[/glow] guy got kick out of the game!
    I know that stuff happens but come on, do you really need a Tetanus shot to play jounior league football?

    [/quote]EX-coach I am one of the coaches for senior vidor black..instead of getting on a messageboard i would be more then happy to talk to you about it the correct way..YOUR player got kicked out because he threw a punch.I and the other Vidor coach talked to one of your coaches after the game and everything was fine. No one was mad and it was over according to us. If I am correct The rules are if a player gets ejected out of a game it goes before the STJFL board. and the player that got kicked out could be suspended for the next game.But like i said we talked it over after the game with one of your coaches and there were no hard feelings, and we told them we didnt want the kid ejected from his next game. we handled it right there and there werent any problems. So I really dont see why you have to get on a messageboard and throw allegations out there .
      I am easy to get in touch with and most people on here know me.

    [/quote]I don't have "official" stats..I got caught up in game several times..but Vidor had around 300 yards of total offence..Clark was leading rusher by far. didn't keep stats for Tx high.Clark 3 td's. Bolinger 2 td's. and the one that got fumbled into endzone I dont know who recovered it.

  17. Coaching your own Kids

    Who will coach the kids if the "parents" don't?  In our league we have I believe 9 teams..so where would you find 9 volunteers for 9 different teams that have no relation to the kids on the team to come to practice 3 nights a week ,games, and all the other things that a coach does?
      I have coached my sons team(s)..And I have watched several coaches coach there son.And it is in my opinion that coaches are more harder on there own kids then they are others. Also the "coaches/parents' are the ones working with there kids at home and putting in extra work before the first practice starts. When my son started tee ball he was ahead of the game because I knew practice would be starting and i worked with him at home..so of course that put him ahead of a few kids for the first day of practice.But the work has to continue not only at practice but at home.
      There are at times when I want to get on my son because he makes a mistake,but us coaches make it a rule..If we see the dad/coach getting a little upset at his son ,the other coach steps in and coaches him up..that way its a fair treatment and it dont jeopardize the father/son realtionship. No coach is out there by themself..a good coaching staff communicates with one another..Its not 1 dad saying "ok my son is QB."  Good coaching staffs practices and practices, and then discuss what is best for the team ..They ALL decide where each kid goes.I seen head coaches sons sit the bench..I have seen head coaches sons play KEY positions...Most of the 'coaches' has played the sport or was an athlete in school and so genetics are on there kids side that there son will be a decent athlete also.with that being said,its not just practice that my son picks up a football or baseball..Its after practice, off season,on Sundays anytime my son wants to play catch or put in the extra work i support him and we go do it together..
    There are kids that are less fortunate and there dads might not know as much, or might not be around..
    There maybe  coaches that put there kids in the "QB "spots or key baseball positions just because they are there son..does it happen I am sure it does...but in the long run it wil show if he is suppose to be there or not.
    But a good coach and good parents will tell the '"TEAM" that it dont matter where you play as long as you are being a team player and being the best player at whatever the coach decides to put you at.
      Its not easy being a coach.your responsible for alot of kids and it dont matter what position you put whomeveer at ,someone will always be mad.

    [/quote]it dotn matter . and i could careless what the rankings are or who ranks them..but what sense does it make to rank a team to place 2nd or 3rd in there district and then turn around and place them in the top 15 or 25 of the whole state? it makes the whole magazine lose credibility. and if myname was on it like his is then I would makse sure my "people" do a better job of the ranking part.
      Its like owning a business and its a sub par business and the owner says "I dont actually do the work,its just my name and I am the owner of it" thats dumb!

    I quit buying it. He would rank a team in a district to come in like second or third in there district .. Then on another page the same team he ranked second or third in that district,  he would rank them in the top 25 in the state.(without the team that was ranked ahead of them in there own district ranked in the top 25.)  They use to have a few good articles and the history  and records section was pretty good ,but thats about it.

    If a rule was broken then ur post gets deleted and u should receive a warning for a rules violation. If no rule was broke ur post never should have been deleted.if u didn't receive a warning then more then likely u didn't break any rules. I like to call that "someones all n there feelings". Just my opinion.
