Skipper do you no how much a coward you sound like sometimes. You are always so overly respectful when talking about other teams when you no they don't have a chance at all. We can be talking about Wo-s playing a pee wee football team and you'll say it will be close " from what you've heard" It will be very difficult for any team to just line up and run on Wo-s if you can't mix your plays up well...you will get blown out. It's very hard to run to the outside on Wo-s and it baffles me how teams keep trying. Speed is their strength...size is not so you'd think coaches would choose to run up the middle. Turner will have a long frustrating night.

Nobody have scored more than 13 points against Wo-s and HJ won't be the first. No way HJ score 17 points. Wo-s will have to completely fall apart defensively.

Okay, someone asked one of the players while they were at the game and that's what they told him. I was just told this morning that he was kicked off the team by Coach T. Since you are so up in arms about it and don't want it to be true, why don't you go and find out for sure.

I don't know exactly, but no where near as big as he is now. I would say about 6'1 230 in high school.

I don't think BC will score a point. I wanted to ask though, did anybody hear that Coach T kicked Quinny Garrett off the team? Someone just told me that. We have some really good running backs, so it won't change much for Wo-s if it's true.

I don't know why teams do this to themselves every year. Talk about how they are going to do this or that to Wo-s only to get humiliated. I think they hold on to hope that maybe this year Wo-s isn't that good.

Wo-s put in their starting linebacker (Stephen Cook) at running back and he had a long run. and their other defensive player ( Terry Rubin) scored at running back. Hypolite only played a couple snaps at Qb in the third quarter. Wo-s coaches did everthing they could to not run up the score. They couldn't kneel the whole game. Hamshire Fannett coaches should have asked for a running clock the whole second half. I don't believe in that running up the score crap. If you don't want people to keep scoring on you, then keep fighting to stop them. It seems like in the first half, after a couple hard hits by Wo-s. HF players got intimidated. If I was a player, it would be more humiliating to me if we had to ask for a running clock or a team kneeling on the ball to keep from scoring on me. I'd rather get beaten 100 to nothing. From what I hear, Quinny got into it with Coach Hooks and he stepped up to coach Hooks kinda aggressively and that's why they sat him out. If that's true, then it's good they sat him out. Kids need to realize that you have to respect authority. He only hurt himself and his stats because if he got 300 yards against Nederland, then he easily could have gotten 400 against HF.

I doubt if Wo-s gives up that many points. Nobody has really come close this year of scoring 20 points. I think they will have to have a completely off night defensively for that to happen.

The announcer did say he was disqualified and he did sit out the rest of the half. Someone said they disqualified him for the first half. I have to say this is the dirtiest team we have ever played. After every play they were throwing punches, they had two or three roughing the passer penalties. There are many players that could have been thrown out the game on their team, but the refs showed restraint. They have a pretty good run defense, but this team won't go anywhere unless they get some discipline.

Memorial had about 60 players easily to Wos about 26 or so and wo-s dominated both the freshman and JV games.

Wo-s JV won 33-0 I think.

Why isn't Wo-s and KV changing their game to Thursday like most people? They rather play and have people traveling in that mess?

Wo-s is outnumbered many times that they step on the field against good teams like nederland and Dayton,but still go into those games knowing they can win and doing it. So don't start with the we're outnumbered excuse. When your a good team, you find a way to win despite whatever advantage the other team may have and that's what Wo-s does often.

um, the Cats are better than last year. Mustangs are NOT better than last year but they still better than Kville at this point. if wos think they just gonna run over kville they gotta 'nother thing coming, rather IKE hits or not. You cant get big-headed early before district starts. 8) Okay, your getting your analogy that Wo-s isn't as good as last year from where? i think it's wishful thinking. 2 headed RB monster last year, you stop the QB you only have Garrett and what if kville puts in a blitz package next week? You put in a blitz package, then you will see the running back and/or Quarterback zipping passed your line. That would play right into there hands. By the way, they throw the ball quite well too and don't need alot of time to do it.

Kirbyville has alot more to worry about than garrett. There are many more weapons than him. When the QB rushes for 100 yards and passes for more than 100 then you know they are working with more than garrett. You will see on Friday. We hear this same song from KV every year. This is our year. If you have no defense, you won't stay close with Wo-s this year because there offense can score at will. There defense is just as good as it has always been.

I asked this question earlier on another thread. Apparently over the summer he quit, but later decided to come back. The coaches put him on Jv to let him earn his spot back on the Varsity. He has been doing very well on Jv, but should be back on varsity soon.

Yes, he is playing on the JV and doing well. He is not on the varsity right now because he quit during the offseason and will now have to pay his dues to get back on the varsity. He had several catches in the JV game Thursday. Oh Okay. When they get him back that will be just another weapon they have. I'm glad they aren't rewarding him for quiting. He needs to show how dedicated he is. Can't wait to see him on varsity again though.

Hey, does anybody know if Reggie Simmons(quintavious garrett's little brother) still plays at Wo-s? I know he was a sophmore last year and very good.
