Orangefield is definitely not the same team as earlier in the year. I don't think people understand the importance of losing a 4 yr varsity starter in Gonzalez, who's also been the starting QB in our system for the last 2-3 years. He knew the offense like the back of his hand and he was a major run threat because of his size and athleticism. QB in our offense is the most important player on the field and losing him has limited what we like to do. He was pretty much the heart and soul of this team and when he went down it just seemed like the kids lost a little fight. They really need to find that spark again and soon.

It was tied at 14 with 7 minutes to go in the game, OF had a 4th and 4 around midfield, decided to punt. Another bad snap gave Buna the ball inside the 20 and they scored a few plays later. 2pt made it 22-14. Very next play for OF receiver tipped a pass in the air and a Buna defender caught the deflection in stride and walked in the endzone. In about 20 secs Buna was up 30-14. A lot closer game than the final score indicated. Good ball game, Buna has a very good team. OF qb got hurt late in the game, didn't look good, hope he's ok, huge part of this team.

Rivalry game, should be a good one. I think Orangefield's defense might be a little better and that could be the difference. But like I said this is a rivalry game so anything can happen.

Orangefield seems to be doing pretty good in all their games.
We have a very scrappy team this year. We don't have a ton of speed, and we're not very big, we just have kids that play hard and get after you.
Offensively we have 6 or 7 kids that run the ball, we're still running the old wing or slot T, and we run it pretty well. Ball control is key for us.
Defensively we bend but don't break.
I think we'll be right in the hunt for one of the top spots in this district. We know it'll be tough, but we're finally competing with teams our size number wise.
