The defense will be fine, and they played a very physical game against Livingston and eventually beat them. No doubt some improvements are necessary, but we should adjust well. 1. they needed the physical game... it only helps us in the long run and is something we missed not playing in 20-4A. 2. good post... our defense will have to find way to shut some folks down. They did it all through district (except NF early) and I trust that these coaches and kids will find a way to do just that. They need to make a statement friday night.

I see... it seems the big play hurt dayton in the first half... Second half, they were just methodical and ran it right at us and were successful til the last few minutes.

just curious... what was the final of Central/Livingston...? did they throw much against you guys?

hard to tell. I hear the QB is solid though. Exactly my thoughts... My only thought is that Terry hasn't put up a lot of points this year.... I would bet they could do enough to win with their salty defense.

not sure... sharpstown QB sam carter is dangerous with his feet which can open up the big play, etc. It's hard to judge how good Sharpstown is because HISD is historically not that strong. Terry on the other hand always has a lot of size and some pretty good speed and is from a tough district (even if it is just 5 teams). I think Terry has had trouble scoring this year though.

I totally disagree with you here, I too was at this game, and something that WOS def. had was heart, there coaches, players, band, drill team, and fans, rocked, I have been to alot of high school games and have never seen the spirit that this team brought to the field. As far as believing in our INDIANS, i'm with ya there!!!!!!!!!! Sarcasm

Elgin apparently has and RB that is committed to TECH. This is a video from his sophomore year. I'm sure Dayton's staff knows all about him but for those of us that are wanting some friday night info..... Note: he was injured all last year. So, I believe this is his first year to play for Coach Lauve and apparently a different system than what is shown in the video. Hard to tell if the defenses are not real quick or if he is just making them look that way.

I always park at the JH, not too far to walk IMO... I was actually gonna recommend starting later. the parking lot really doesn't clear out until after 3.

In the playoffs ... you always know that you'll get the winner of one certain game(e.g. this week was Elgin/Montgomery). Now scouting more than 1 week ahead would require some guesswork and I'm not sure that they even do it.
