WOW WHAT A GAME. That pass was awesome 

Huntsville held A&M Consolidated to 7pts and they were averaging about 50 a game. They also held Manvel to 10pts which is about 40 fewer than they were averaging. If FB puts up over 35 I think they win if not I think the Hornets advance.

Actually with the exception of Malek the Mavs have more highly recruited athletes than FB.

I agree we weren't going to beat them, but I had hope, but Manvel is the only team to put up those kind of points on them. They also won that game without Hornsby. But I always say that defense wins championships, so Huntsville could pull it out. After playing both teams, Huntsville seems to be the weaker, but we did play them early in the season. 

Claude Mathis couldn’t get out of region with all of that talent at De Soto. Looks like the same story at Marshall 

Huntsville defense did what it does. Big physical fast and puts a ton of pressure on the opposing offense. Marshall was loaded with talent and speed but Huntsville defense just keeps the pressure coming. You will see a lot of holding calls because their front 4 are absolutely nasty. Believe me they made a really really good QB for Marshall look average. Can't wait to check out the game next week. 

Not a knock on PNG but if Huntsville plays FB Marshall you won't see kids running down the field not getting touched up. Marshall is extremely fast but probably one of the smallest teams I have seen this deep in the playoffs on the 5a level. I know speed kills but Huntsville IMO would be a horrible match up for FB. Huntsville is big fast and extremely physical. FB linebackers could not have weighed more than 160 lbs. Much like Manvel just smashed it down FB's throat I think Huntsville would do the same with the one exception, Huntsville has the best defense in the region and most likely the state Huntsville also has a passing game with very athletic receivers. I have Huntsville winning this game and the region...

I remember back in 05 Marshall played Highland Park for the state championship game and got beat 59-0. Then again I believe Mathew Stafford was the qb for HP then. Lol

Very true. Wasn't a knock on this years team. Just have seen a ton of Manvel games over the years and your right they are still better than most any other teams in our region.

Kam Scott was also a stud. Both kids were big athletic and extremely fast. Believe both were top 100 players in Texas. This years Manvel doesn't have kids at the receiver position even close to those kids abilities.

This was the weakest Manvel team I have watched in many years. I told people that when I saw them play Crosby. Manvel lost 18 starters last year which was loaded with D1 talent and their head coach left and is now the qb coach at Syracuse. Couple those things with Shadow Creek opening up and I'm actually surprised they are as good as they are. Side note had no idea BH QB was on kick off return. Not sure about that move.

I think BH coach has made a decision to onside kick every time and the fake punt because he knows he needs some change of possessions and BH defense won't stop Manvel. I actually like it. Already had 2 change of possessions and will probably need like 5 or 6 like I said before this game to get the W.

Yeah BH had to play a perfect game to have a chance and 3 int's wont get it done. Still think BH is heading in the right direction.
