Ned has an excellent coaching staff. When I watched the routes your receivers ran it was very impressive. You can tell those kids are coached up big time. Oh yeah it also doesn't hurt having the best defensive lineman in the area.

I plead the 5th.

This should be a good game. Crosby does have a lot of offensive weapons. Wouldn't put money on either team IMO to close to call.

Dayton has beat Elkins the last 2 years. I will say that Elkins will be very big and athletic. They have a great young qb. Like I said in an earlier post this might be the best team dayton plays this year.

Well lets hear what you think bronco fans.

He played rb and lb for dayton freshman team. He was athletic and probably over 200lbs last year. Hated to see him move.

They don't have 2 3a titles. They have 2 1a titles. I think 1971 and 1976.

Wow just realized the sight is back up and running. Ned looked good which I expected. Dayton has just a couple of seniors on both sides of the ball and its showing. It's just kinda funny that after dayton dominated Ned in last years scrimmage the world was ending. Fast forward to this year and dayton fans are doing the same. I know it was ugly but it was just a scrimmage. Both Ned and friendswood are good teams with lots of returning talent and that helps early on. Dayton has 7 sophomores starting last night and they will continue to improve and get used to the speed of the game at the varsity level. Dayton will keep improving and make it 18 straight playoff appearances.

But the question was teams that have not won a title.

Dayton hasn't won a title but they have played for one in the last 5 years. Has any other team in setx even played for a title in the last 10 years.

He is playing but even with him I would not consider bh having a high powered offense. Take away the dive with oneal and the game is over. Maybe the weakest passing game in the region for a playoff team.

Thursday scrimmage screws my schedule up but will still be at the game. Would like to see it pushed backed to Friday but definitely don't want to see Nederland raining deep balls to their receivers.

[/quote]thanks. I think friendswood will be a playoff team as usual and I didn't expect dayton to roll against friendswood. Some sc fans are just looking to bash dayton. Like I said in an earlier post dayton doesn't schedule teams like friendswood and Nederland for nothing. Both teams are proven winners and give dayton players and coaches the opportunity to see quality competition before the season starts.

So don't worry about us just worry about your little bullfrogs.

I woke up today feeling good about what I saw last night. Dayton doesn't scrimmage teams like friendswood and Nederland so they can go up and down the field. They schedule them because they are very good we'll coached teams and will make dayton a better team. Dayton has at least 3 sophomores starting on the offensive line and they will get better every week. Dayton had to many penalties and dropped balls even for a scrimmage but those are things that can be cleaned up. Dayton's qb looked good especially if you consider he wasn't even the starter on jv last year. He has a good arm and will get better. He had his receivers drop several great passes including one that was a guaranteed td. Dayton's defense looked good other than a couple blown coverages. Dayton's dline has a junior at nose who will be a player and a sophomore at 3 tech who is going to be a stud. Didn't see much pressure on the friendswood qb but also didn't see any blitzing. It's kinda hard to put pressure on a qb rushing 3 men when you have 5 lineman blocking them. But im sure dayton will bring those linebackers more as the season begins. I think dayton will do fine and friendswood looked solid as usual.
