Agreed. Could be back to back state champs but lost 2 nail biters. Still can't believe they had back to back 12 men on the field with time running out that put Vega in scoring position. One of those penalties came off a timeout.

Green and Dugat never played Manvel. Heck Green never played either school. Also to say they weren't comparable to SS when they scored 49 pts is a little silly. Fact is Dayton turned the ball over inside the 5 and SS had a successful on side kick. That was the difference in a game where neither offense could be stopped. Believe me AJ wasn't an All American for nothing. He compared fine with anyone on that field.

Like I was saying not sure about the jv kid but the big tackle played football last year.
-
Sophomore and senior classes are nice. Not sure if he is involved in other sports. Most likely the starting right tackle on varsity is another sophomore around 6"6 240.
-
I believe he just moved back. His dad played ball here and the kid is about 6"6.
-
Not a knock on their QB. Fact is he is not being recruited as a QB and this kid is a Memphis commit as a dual threat QB. BG trying to get me in trouble. Lol

So glad Dayton picked up Clear Springs to scrimmage. They will have the best QB Dayton will see this year by far and should really help Dayton get prepared for the upcoming season. The kids seem to really be buying in and I attribute that to the coaching staff. Participation level seems to be at an all time high and there is nothing I would rather see than the first district championship for the Bronx since 2010.

This year will be bitter sweet. Can't wait to watch some Bronco football but man time has flown and I can't believe the oldest will be playing his last year of football. I'm going to enjoy every game from the first scrimmage to the last game and hope he and his friends take it all in and have a great injury free season.

That's awesome for a kid to be able to come back and do what he loves. Also that dude could ball. I think he had like 200 yds receiving in one half against Dayton in a playoff game. -
Lol. Yeah been there many times. Nederland always has a nice crowd.
-
To bad for the kids it would have been an awesome experience for them. Myself I like the atmosphere at Nederland better anyway. Nothing like a Friday night game in a small town.

UH plays Oklahoma at NRG on 9/3. Would love to watch some high school football there that weekend but not sure how that would even workout.
-
Nice to see a ton of kids playing this year. Dayton will suit up over 30 seniors and probably close to 50 kids on varsity. I look for Dayton to be a much more physical run before pass team on offense. If the defense plays up to par I think Dayton will be a tough out for anyone. I know I'm ready to watch some high school football and in particular some Broncos.

Lol. No salt here buddy. Everytime Dayton played WOS was a bad memory for me.
-
The most painful game for WOS that I saw was the 05 Wimberley game. I went to that game expecting WOS to cruise. WOS was about as loaded as you could get and Wimberley just lite into them.
-
Yeah my friends son played on that Crosby team so I was sitting with him. It got ugly pretty quick. It was funny because Crosby scored pretty quickly and did the we are Crosby SWOOSH. That LM team was absolutely loaded. I forget how many D1 players were on that team but it was crazy. I believe it was Russell Ball that went off in that game. I couldn't believe that Denton Ryan was able to take them to I believe triple overtime.
-
Lol. The truth you can't handle the truth.
-
To bad the SWOOSH ran into those 90's Stephenville teams. Think the best LM team I saw was 2003.
-
I think WOS is the standard every program in SETX would aspire to be. Definitely one of the top programs in the state in their classification. Having said that no way they are a top 10 team when you include all classifications. Really doesn't matter though because they won't be playing those teams and should repeat as State Champs this year.

Looks pretty legit to me.

Damn that team was already nasty. Now it's just time to size up those rings. -
Nice to see Styner getting some love from DC. He is definitely a money player. I like the young kids Dayton will most likely be playing at slot (sophomores) both are very athletic and 1 in particular has very good speed. I think both will be good in space. Both wide outs will be tall athletic and have some serious hops. QB while probably not cemented has a great arm descent speed and good size for a high school QB. Dayton will score points make no mistake about it. Dayton has some nice pieces on the defensive side and I'm really hoping with the new atmosphere Dayton will get back to being one of the better defenses in the district.

Should be fun. Side note. Sure didn't take long under new AD for a kid to get his first offer.
