[/quote] Dude you guys dont get it.  It has nothing to do with any hard feelings about La Porte beating Katy.  Why dont you ask the Pearland fans the admiration the Oilers got from me and most all Katy fans after they beat us?  Ask Abilene the same.  Why?  They beat us at our best.  It wasnt in the middle of a hurricane.  It wasnt while our best player was out for the season.  It wasnt on the same night that execution was the worst it has been in 4-5 years.  Those teams beat us at our best.  La Porte didn't.  9-7.  La Porte scored more points (9) then they had in the previous 2 Katy/La Porte meetings combined.  9 points is La Portes best against Katy.  La Porte beat Katy on its best day against a Katy defense (9 freakin points) while Katy had it's worst offensive execution in 5 years.  Congrats on that win...wouldnt expect it again...well atleast for another 5 years or so. Never forget.  You are the La Porte Bulldogs.  The doormat to every Division 2 Region 3 Champion.  Good teams dont lose by 30 points in the playoffs every year.  I dont care who you are playing. And both of those teams you beat with a high offensive output and solid defense. So did La Porte.  Katy was solid on both sides of the ball as oppose to La Porte's Darkside greatly outplayed our offense all season long.  Leading into the La Porte game katy offense averaged 44 points per game. Katy scored 63 and 44 points in the two previous play-off games.  YOU SCORED 7 AGAINST THE DARKSIDE!!!! 7, with a superior offense than what La Porte had.  Katy went against the wind just as we did, katy had redzone opportunities just as we did, and you even had a drive with good enough time to score a field goal or touchdown. Judging the returning players to the program,how good are they talent wise. I do understand they only got a scrimmage in.

How good is High Island this year?

Only one school in Katy ISD is successful and that is katy high. the others dont matter and they may as well not exist.  now, being that Katy itself is a small city with a significantly less population than La Porte, one must bring into question the possible practice of recruitment inside Katy isd and outside of katy.  ??? huh-oh!!!

IMO, the QB for the COOGS has made LM serious threat for state.  from what i got from the announcers is that He transfered in from Chavez high.  He can carry that offense himself.

;D yea, its a good defense for defending the Spread look. Its worked for us all but once. K-Forrest scored ona play where the defender miss timed the INT in the endzone and one where tghe deepest defender lots coverage when the QB broke two tackles in the backfield, ran 20 yards East-West and then launched the ball deep. I believe our defense will see favorable Offenses from here on.

Anyone remember the Sterling game last year for LP???  Well, this is the 2012 version.  Triple option gives LP defensive style a challenge.  Lp defense plays aggressive D, ANY who knows some coaching knows you don't play Aggressive against a Triple Option O. One defender per one ball handler, gap responsibility.  LP is an up the field go to the ball. Too many times did LP converge on the FB and left the pitch man unaccounted for. I saw the game film (insider) and tape don't lie, laspe of responsibility nearly cost us. Now they are (just as sterling) the only Triple Opt team on the schedule. The rest are good ol' Spreads, and we loves us some Spreads (except for one game, SHUT UP BUDDY AND GHOSTs ;) ).  LP defense is still great. Offense needs to get use to the Winged-T. It will come in time for district. ALWAYS DOES. 

So I talk to my insider sources and I'm not worried 8)
