I guess my question would be how do you turn in the wrong numbers. I would think that the school district would of been on top of that. Now a bunch of schools are scrambling to fix their schedules.

BC is always tough and never rebuild just reload. But after playing Silsbee last year in the playoffs, I will give them the nod, those boys are tough and never quit. They will be a big force in that district for years to come. Silsbee has plenty of pitching and they have some pretty good bats also.

Yes he is and most of the lifers are too. lol. For the record my son does not play for the Banditos. That is just Rays Way. But most of the big organizations do it, not just the Banditos. When you get in to some of those really big tourneys, you have to have some extra pitching help. It is about winning so the pipeline never gets dried up.

Sounds like you don't like the Banditos. That is Ray's way and he is good at it. To Each their own.

You are in the program when you play select baseball, Showcase is different. It is all about getting seen and getting your name out there. If you can go pitch for different teams and be seen by some of the best scouts, then at this level that is what you do. The more you get your name out there the better off you will be (that is if you are good enough)

What age group showcase teams are you going to be forming?

Does Kountze have a JV and Freshman team or Just a JV team?

Lepfan, Shepherd has a few younger boys coming up that will be in the mix to help next year. They will have a better offense next year. These two boys are the real deal, good to see them doing good cause they work they butts off.

Coldspring doesn't rebuild they reload. As bad as I hate to say that. They will be as good as anyone in the district (or a cut above).

Heck with two arms like that all Shepherd needs is to scratch out 1 or 2 runs a game and they should win most of them. No chance they will move. Why do they need too, throwing that hard every scout in the country knows who they are and were Shepherd is now.

Calm down I am just messing with ya, No doubt Townley would of made a difference if he would of finished the game. But it was a good back and forth game from start to finish.

Gray had a great game and that kid is legit. But to come on here and say the only reason that your team lost was cause your QB got hurt. Well that seems like a slap in the face to the other players on the team. Starting to sound a bunch like the Liberty folks with all the reasons why.

I guess that is your side of the story, tell it the way you want to. My point is that no team in that district other than Coldspring is going to be that much better than the next. But this year Coldspring is not that "unbeatable" as they have been. Huffman is always a good team and Cleveland is up and down. But the "Bottom Teams" are not that far behind.

89falcon didn't you say that about Shepherd last year? I think they beat Huffman!!! Tarkington is going to be much improved and the only team in our district that is a for sure bet is Coldspring!!!!! I see the district being a pretty tight race for more than a few teams.

What would each of your High School Coaches do if he knew that his team was a weaker hitting team but had a very good arm to throw out there and he won the coin flip? He would do what any other coach would do, he would go for the one game playoff and give his team the best chance to get to the second round. Also what is the winner of this game going to do at the coin flip next week against Sweeny? I can tell you if Shepherd wins they are going for a one game the entire time. It is their best chance.

Gladtobehere, None of the folks that are responding are from Shepherd, so save the smack for somebody else. But in my book it is a one game playoff and most of the time good pitching will beat good hitting. So may the best team win.

Shephed will be in the mix if they can hit, they have good pitching and a solid defense but they will need to have a little bit of offense to go with it (I am from Shepherd so I am not putting them down). I heard Splendora is having to use their SS as the catcher cause they don't have one. I hear the Tarkington can swing it pretty well. Don't count out Coldspring with the defense they have. I think this district is up in the air for the most part. We shall see how it works out. OH and Huffman always has a good baseball team.

Or Mr. Cougar you could say that the defense for the other team was subpar and your offense was just average to score 54 against a weak defense. I am so glad you have those stats cause you will have something to whipe with if you loose on Friday night. It's the playoffs and you know what you can do with those stats.

Oh Cougar, trust me I know plenty about football, so we can put that to rest now. But since you missed what I was implying then I really don't have the time to spell it out for you. Weak district or not La Marque has people respect. But I call bullcrap on both the offense and defense having to be flawless to shut someone out. What if the score was 3-0 would you still say the offense was flawless?

game  mid-way thru the 3rd Q with their decent offense. La marque's Offense NOW , is far from stagnant as we've seen from the 5 shut on wins Cougar2011, kinda not following how the offense has produced the 5 shutout wins. Unless you are trying to say that cause LaMarque has some form of offense now it makes the defense play better. I will say it again "Until someone knocks Coldspring off in this regoin then they are the team to beat"

If Barbay was going to run the score up on anyone it would be this game. Even though they put up a big one against us.
