According to my (Cougar14) stats, we(Crosby) should have won this game hands down.... 

Play Calling: many of our big plays come when people blitz our offense consistently. We can throw a screen with the best of them, granted that has also been something that's gotten us in trouble.
 
But Crosby has been pretty decent versus the blitz, but the real battle isn't crosby's offense versus Daytons defense it's the other way around.
 
"just throws the ball up anywhere." Can confirm sometimes he does this but he also beats people for 20 or 30 with his legs and the play calling is generally good versus the blitz.
 
I mean we've played 3 or 4 good defenses this year. KWP/Humble/Angleton/Nederland(maybe not?) so it'll be interesting to see how good Dayton's defense actually is given they have exactly played many good offenses.
 
Also i love people who weren't at the KWP game talking about it either you've smoked a little too much between then and now or your dellusional Crosby drove the ball 4 times against KWP in the second half turnovers where killing us against them not out ability to run or throw the ball.
 
Given how much KWP was in the Dayton Backfield last week i'd be more worried about your QB running for his life.

We will see. Did they lose kids to grades?

Stats never tell the whole story that's true, Score is all that matters thats true. But Score in some situations doesn't tell the whole story either, Late Td's, Td's versus second strign etc all are very important to factor in.
 
Simply Crosby this year on defense passes the stats test and against everyone they've played since the first half of the first game of the year the eye test. Crosby's defense turned a corner  about 2:00 left before the half versus Nederland, that defense hasn't looked back even without one of our best D-Linemen.
 
What can Stats say: They can tell you if a team is completely out matched versus a team that loses to someone similar to themsleves but made more mistakes.
 
For Instance in 2012 The cougars had quite a few turnovers in the redzone, makes a huge dfference, if you don't finish drives.
 
What the stats tell us this year is that Crosby has dominated everygame they've been in at the line of scrimmage, that's very impressive no matter who you are. We don't give up big plays often and we score on big plays and by running the football.
 
Nederland showed everyone the past couple years what a dominate line can do, and the Cougars have one this year if they maintain their dominance than the Cougars can be very successful versus dayton and in the Playoffs.
 
I haven't seen king play so for me i can only look at stats, I have no clue about the eye test. And honestly i've heard enough of people on this forum say "this team looked good this team looked bad" but honestly the vast majority of you have no idea what to look for, you look for flash and exciting players like Running backs and quarterbacks, but 75% of the time the thing that will stop those players the most is the 5 guys blocking for them, if they have a bad game it doesn't matter how much talent you have at the flash positions.

Bh needs a coach that makes all the boys at BH want to play football... numbers matter.

Humble's defense is extremely good, Crosby did shoot themseleves in the foot, and Crosby did have like 1 billion penelty yards.
 
Humbles Defense put pressure on the quarter back, the prevented consistent middle runs, and they took advantage of every chance they were given on defense.
 
Crosby's offense "played badly" but to say that doesn't say something about Humble's defense given that 17 is the lowest point total we've had.
 
there were several huge plays this game.
 
Crosby threw a Pic that was returned to the 8 yard line in the first half, Crosby held Humble to 3
Crosby threw another pick that was at like the 12 yard line, and had a goal line stand
Crosby drove the ball into the redzone up by 14 and had a chance to put the game away, a very close play at the goaline on 3rd down was called short and Humbles defense held at the goaline.
Crosby picked a ball off with like 4 minutes left then threw a pic themselves i heard Chuck McKeon on the sideline yell, listen it doesn't matter what the offense does they won't score on us if you do your job they can't win if they can't score.
 
I wouldn't be surpised if the district this year is CE.King Crosby Humble and KP in some order. I think BH has a legitimate shot. But it's honestly laughable for Dayton to think they will beat either of these defenses. Perhaps you should be focusing on that BH team that knows if they don't beat you they have very little shot of making the playoffs.
