i'm confused why am i on a prediction thread from last year.

Sunday game? i'll take vidor due to untraditional date... but i think Nederland wins.... that my friends is called being on the fence.

Crosby beats bh doesn't move up any spots... smh

i believe we had 5 people last week pick crosby over bh. keep making those percentages go down.

This is basically the first playoff game for both teams. I think we're going to pull out all the stops. The white elephant in the room no one is talking about is that if Crosby wins this game it almost assures them of a playoff spot barring a late season debacle. If Dayton loses, that 16 year streak is in grave danger of coming to an end. Y'all would still have The Creek, The Hill, C.E. King and Kingwood Park. [/quote] So i think the biggest thing i'd like to point out is, this is the best and most athletic defense Crosby has had in a long time. Just go relisten to that coog/bh game the announcers couldn't help but talking about how fast the crosby defense plays. one other note on defensive yards. The Cougars don't take anytime at the line, we snap the ball with 15-18 seconds left on the play clock, is Astin as good as some of the QB's Riordans had, maybe not passing but the thing he does extremely well is make good solid decisions, and he can extend plays. Crosby's offense has looked better each week, i think we keep looking better each and every game, the Cougars will be ready for the Broncos. If Dayton is marginally better than they where last year they lose the game, the cougars are substantially better than they where last year on BOTH sides of the field.

a loss by a td? if i remember right last year crosby/dayton/bh all won and lost by 7 points to each other. if im not mistaken the only reason bh won the title was that they beat a pony... and the cougs lost to a gander.

get over it you went like 12-1 we get it it's not like dayton had ever done it before and its extremely unlikely it'll ever happen again. Crosby-Dayton didn't start playing consistently until the mid/late 90's.

They jumped on us with a quick touchdown and we had two consecutive punts that went less than 15 yards, both of which Nederland turned into touchdowns. They scored the 3rd td as the second quarter started. After we scored we had a fumble while on a drive that could of turned the whole complexity of the game. We pretty much won the last three quarters. A loss is a loss though and we deserved to lose. That was the first game with 6 or 7 new starters in a new offense. Very physical game, Crosby won't see another team that good or physical until the dance if they get there. Barbers Hill doesn't have those kind of players. The offensive numbers could have been sick, but there was no reason to run the score up. Turnovers are the only chance The Mound has. If we don't, they won't. Last six years against the Barbies total score of 155-128, Crosby 4-2. History doesn't necessarily say so, but I'm telling you, Crosby could blow this one open. [/quote] I wouldn't put any stock in Ned being the #5 team in the state. They are a good team , but doubt they are anywhere near #5. BH could have hung 100 points on lumbertion if the 1st team wasn't called off 4 minutes before the 1st half. BH has plenty of Offensive power and you will get a taste of the Friday. History is ok ,but unless those players are on the field Friday it mean nothing.
