This job has been a done deal for weeks. Take that to the bank.
Yep, ding....ding.....ding......we have a winner.
Who might i ask is the person going to get hired according to this, my rumor mill has gone silent.
 2.
Olin has a good  track record for sending QBs to the next level.  The big question would be " Would he be a good fit for Crosby?"  If I had a son that was a QB that is who I would want, but if he was not a QB, I would not be sold, his record at Lewisville was not up to par. What other names outside the district are in the mix?
more than this, i doubt olin would allow the 5 foot 8 Aston Walter be the QB. Given his height an inability (physically) to see over the line, I doubt Olin would play him at QB means he would have to find another position. (Or grow about 4 inches at least.)
 3.
A long-time Robert E. Lee head football coach plans to throw his resume into the ring at Crosby High School. Dick Olin, who compiled a 106-67 record in 17 years at Lee, said he plans to apply for the head football job at Crosby. Olin has spent the last three years as the head football coach at Lewisville, where he compiled a 7-23 record. He said he was reassigned to maintenance after the 2011 season.
So we are getting the highest paid maintenance man in Texas to come coach? Great!
 4. I think ima come visit with the bulldogs for this one... GPISD Stadium right?
 5.
Dawson should also be 5a.  The Pearland area is loaded  with football players.
I'm hearing about 20% of the Dawson team is from Ohio. and I also heard one of the 2 great DE's from Manvel is from Florida (His dad moved here for a refinery job after a refinery closed in Florida. ) aparently the area is growing because of plant closures in Florida/California/Ohio... no wonder talent is coming to them sheesh.
 6.

chase thier baseball dreams ...really...i cant recall a good baseball team from Crosby in a while...in fact i cant recall a real playoff contender from 19-4-A since 2008? and that wasnt Crosby....Kids drop out over there because they are in trouble or cant make passing grades same as in the baseball squad your baseball coach wouldnt put up with the brat pack and he was in hot water with the school board over that as well..and the school board re-instated kids that he booted. Flannagan is gone becuase he counldnt win a playoff game or rumor has it he was forced to resine during a pre-season argument with some racial racebaiting from the School board? Either way Crosby has issues like most schools with color, grades, troulble or a school board that wants to drive the bus?
Crosby had a player drafted second round by the Toronto Blue Jays. We have another pitching prospect who has a chance to do something similar, they may not win all that much but Crosby's baseball players do a ton of work and play year round. We have very very talented baseball players at Crosby.
 7. I've been hearing this decision will not be made because they are waiting on a coach to finish his playoff Run. (I was not informed which coach that is)
 8.

How do you figure that?  Three of the four are in the third round, including the DC.
It's not being mean to the BDawgs, I'm just honestly more impressed with Vidors wins over Crosby/Montgomery then yours over GCM/Stratford, and Ozen has beat 2 District champions already with Brenham/BH. Not saying Bulldogs aren't really really good, just more impressed with Ozen/Vidor.
I would expect that thought, everyone wants to see a offense score 40 or more points before they are impressed. But when you run up against a defense that shuts your high powered offense down then your in trouble. Good defenses don't make a lot of headlines but they win games.
Really its not about that, more so in that i don't think you've played a really quality opponent yet. If you beat Dawson 3-0 i'll be just as impressed as if you beat them 42-28, because i think highly of Dawson.
 9.
Coach Kay at North Shore would be a great hire, I wouldnt be sure if he would leave the Mustangs, But if he did, Crosby would be a power house. That man knows defense
I'd love to see Kay come as well, the school board is under extreme pressure right now i doubt many of them keep there jobs come next election. Crosby has a lot of talent, never said anything about a ton of d1 talent, but they do have talent. The Twins aren't gone by any stretch of the imagination, from what i'm hearing. Not to mention the Sophomore class this year is loaded.  Crosby doesn't exactly have a shortage of talented players. @Joe Bob i expect another spread offense, as that's what your best two players have ran there whole lives. As for Barrett Issue... FFS leave it alone we get it the schoolboard is retarded, but they doesn't take anything away from the people who live, work and raise families in Crosby.
 10. o btw Manvel has 2 D1 DE's they are absolute monsters, good luck to the Broncos, they will drop 8 and rush with 3 and get to your QB.

 12. Just playing devils Advocate. "The players were allowed to participate in the team's first state playoff game after the charges were levied." So are you guilty of a crime if someone says you did it, and your charged with a crime? If so and you believe this give me your name and number and i'll say you punched me at a bar at 5:13 PM in the bathroom alone... Should you lose your job over it?
 13.
FYI: Central played at this stadium (Deer Park) a few years ago; I believe the playoff game Central vs Barbers Hill. If memory serves me correctly, they charged for parking. So have a couple dollars available for parking; If they even charge anymore?
3 years ago, they did not Crosby Vs. Dawson had no parking fees. I don't believe they are allowed to do that anymore.
 14. I'll be there in Red, if Dayton wins this game i guess you answered the question of how good your coach is.
 15.
Could it be that Brenham was NOT overrated, but rather they just ran into a really talented Ozen team that is hitting their stride at the right time! Good job Ozen!
This is my view point, i think ozen played out of their minds, and went and beat a very good Brenham team. Vidor beat Montgomery, all it tells me is 20-4a is EXTREMELY good and EXTREMELY deep this year.
 16. You guys are playing amazing in the Playoffs. Is it bad that i think 20-4a district champs might be the 3rd best team in 20-4a?
 17. Crosby will hire a decent coach be sure of it.
 18. See the only reason i think Crosby is an attractive job, is because of the sheer amount of Talent in that school. Nederland is very well coached, but tbh the reason Crosby beat them in the past is the athletes. Also no one knows what the $ signs look like on this one, Flannigan wasn't paid to much 75k? But i could see that number increasing. I expect it to be the DC from North Shore, he fits the profile of what "seems" to be wanted. i.e. A coach who has coached a predominantly black team, has a pedigree, and is a defensive minded coach. Also i'd expect you can pay him comparable money you paid Flannigan. I doubt Gage, but i wouldn't put it past him. He would love to have a bunch of athletes to run that offense.
 19. Is mont still in their 3-3-5? or have the buckled into a 5-3-3?
 20.
Larry Haynes?  I know he is wanting out of Hardin!
I highly doubt this.
 21. Is it bad that i  agree with about 85% of what has been said about this situation...
 22.
The Crosby superintendent is a football guy. He won a national championship at the school he played, so I'm guessing it'll be a coach from where came from. But we see........
See i was wondering if this was just another way to bring his network in there.
 23. Guys Flanigan was basically givern the option of staying as a non-head coach or leaving he choose to leave. No firing was placed in the mix. Regardless telling ur AD we don't want you to be the head coach is as close to firing as possible. But officially it was a resignation.
 24.
I do not wish to take away from your post are the point are very valid.  However, I, too, wonder that if the matchups had favored 19-4A and the bi-district play showed 19-4A to be 3-1 if this thread would have ever been started.
Honestly WOS, prolly not but that's just because the side of the fence i'm on. However if it would have been Nederland/PNG had both lost i guarantee you you'd see similar stuff, not this because i have a point.  FYI I have nothing but respect for Vidor, they are the best defense Crosby has played this year (Minus Dawson), and they executed perfectly all night. I said that Crosby' weakness was a big pounding offense, and BH's was speed. Vidor's biggest weakness would be a large front 7, because that would be able to stop them (Nederland.) Bh can't handle speed at all it looks like hints they lose. It's whatever but i'm just pointing out that the matchups do matter more than the districts. Vidor is a better team than Crosby Ozen is a better team than BH however that doesn't mean PNG/Nederland are better teams than either. BH beat nederland who went undefeated in district? does that mean they're better than 20-4a? Absolutely not.
 25. The biggest problem is we have 2 communities represented, and there is relatively even representation between those two regions, and they have distinctively different views on things like athletic entitlement.
