I don't know 7.09 yards a carry in a spread run offense vs. 7.50 in a Option offense. Take 2 things into account there. 1) if the play is going to go for negative yards, then in an option offense the QB is going to absorb the losses, while in the spread run offense the Back has to take those losses. 2) BH has a much better offensive line than the Cougars, also the Cougars line has been beat up all year. 3) most of the Carries that BH has are to the outside, while the majority of the cougars runs are directly off tackle or to the inside. Also 1100 yards and 12 tds is pretty darn impressive, that TD total could be much higher but the cougars tend to throw passes for 20 yards after running for 65. Also Aston tends to touchdown vulture Austin because everyone is so intent on stopping Austin. The MVP vote for Austin Walter is a solid Vote. Just saying. But lets see how this Bh Crosby game goes. If Austin runs for 50-100 yards then the vote is clearly not his.

Just saying 5-5 is a testament to the level of competition. Dayton game was great, we had a chance to break Daytons will and didn't they got confidence and won the game. This game i see this way. He did it to Neuman 3 years in a row, he needs to start doing it to BH and Dayton (previously i don't think he was in the same category of x and o's as Stewart but has a chance against this new guy). Regardless this is a rebuilding year that has gone quite well from the Cougars point of view. We have probably 10 sophomores seeing consistent playing time, that's going to be huge in the next 2 years.

Actually that's not completely true. GCM must beat Lee OR Crosby must Beat Barbers Hill. For Vidor and Crosby to play first round.

Also the ref needs to be reprimanded. Refs are not supposed to "touch kids" in fact their not supposed to stop fights or any other type of activity that involves a physical interaction with a student. Its the coaches jobs to do that. UIL doesn't like getting sued that is why that rule is in place, and a couple refs getting a little carried away trying to prevent fights. I'm sure the ref was just trying to separate him, but it is something he isn't supposed to do. 

Sad thing is we have the ability to be a balanced offense, we just dont do it.

See i dunno i think it was such a heated game that you see what you want to see when it comes to officiating, honestly their where so many penalties on both sides of this game (most of them deserved). Congrats to the Bronx, gl in the playoffs and lets go beat 20-4a now.

Shellman you are correct because their is only the possibility of 3 (4-3) teams So GCM vs Lee makes one team 4-3 and one 3-4 meaning at worse BH = 7-0 Dayton = 4-3 min Crosby = 4-3 min Winner of GCM and Lee = 4-3 loser = 3-4 Now only 1 thing can change and that is seeding. In Crosby losses and Lee wins Crosby is D1 #2 because of head to head, if GCM wins then Crosby is D1 #1 because of head to head.

Honestly i think its the 3 defensive starters quitting, can't replace talent like that, im tellin yeah. I expect this to be Daytons only chance to show they belong in the playoffs, if they can't get up and play their hated rival, then they don't deserve the playoffs, but iunno thats just me. If they play the cougs close and lose thats one thing, if the get manhandled like GCM did them, i start questioning why this team isn't as good as we all expected.

Exact same position last year he had a kicked blocked and the cougs lost to GCM, also when it comes to his leg hes a much better punter and kickoff guy than field goal kicker. Also that small defense made some very big plays this game including the first 2 drives by GCM in the second half Stoning 44 2x then preventing a pass to get the ball back, followed by 2 more stonings of 44 and then 33's big run. Also in not sure when you arrived, but before the 2nd quarter was over the cougs where about to go up 21-7 when a false start backed them up on 3rd down followed by a good GCM play on 3rd down, then the Cougs went for it on fourth and another false start... the tough thing is these refs weren't stoping the play so the cougs throw a pass and score a TD on that play. The Pick 6 we had at end of the 2nd got called back as well. GCM played Crosby well they made 2 mistakes and those cost them the game. The cougs didn't throw a pick and lost the ball in the air once (not fumbled because it never hit the ground) followed by a bad snap on fourth and inches... i mean to say the cougs got lucky in this game is a bit odd... we had 2 tds erased because of bonehead plays we made, not good plays GCM made, also the 4th down play with half a yard to go, was another instance where we should have scored but luck of the bounce went GCM's way. Great game, both teams didn't play the most crisp game ever, but the mistakes where by both teams, nothing was given to the cougs tonight because they gift wrapped the game just as much as GCM. I just really don't get all this flack after the cougars beat a team thats highly thought of in 19-4a seems like everyone who thought GCM would win has a sload of excuses but in the end all i really need to say is....wait for it....
