Well going 0-2 into another third game of the pre district schedule.
the offense has looked better than last year but the defense is clearly missing key contributors from last year.
positives have been the defensive line play, and the wide receiver play.
negatives have been extremely inconsistent run game, inconsistent line play and a secondary that looks lost at times.
can they turn it around this year sure, it's still very early in the season and to some degree we should be able to fix inconsistency. However, we are not at the top of this district or region so we will be hoping for a playoff seed and first round win this year.
the coaching staff has improved the team each year as the year goes on, that being said we aren't going to face the Friendswood third team QB this year.Iowa Colony is a very good football team and they beat us like they should have.
Dayton has had an excellent start to the season.
FBM looks down in comparison to where they have been previously but it's so early and they've only played one game.
a win would do a lot of good, a loss is probably expected by anyone following the cougars right now.
we will see.

It’s disappointing because he’s been gifted some of Crosby’s more talented teams recently but will probably finish his first three years here with a 12-20 record at best. Now we have studs like Landen Hammer transferring out of the program which is what I warned about a couple years ago.
Is this the kid that the old coach told wouldn't be a star at Crosby?

Scoop and score called back and cougars benefit from it should be 28-7 but caught a break.
Crosby got some sort of break and we are replaying that play.

Hope the kids pull it out but not likely, huge improvements needed, you know like any level of discipline and not getting half your oline thrown out of a game.
I'm just hoping Crosby can find a way to not get taunting penalties after they have a team 3rd and 11.
very low bar don't punch people and taunt people is a win right now.
teams behavior was an embarrassment to the entire town last week. With discipline the buck stops with the head coach period.

I cannot help but hear the old line Stewart said to Flanagan if I had those boys we'd win state.
Dayton should be fighting for a playoff spot this year, Crosby should slot into 4th after that performance
we will end up 0-3 going into district and games against Friendswood and K-park will determine our playoff seed we are no where in the same universe as La Porte and Angleton.

Not taking anything away from Dayton well coached team with a great player but Jesus Crosby looks atrocious.

Just bad football you get a turnover on the 31 do nothing with it then give up a 75 yard play before the end of the half.

For sure honestly a bad taste in my mouth my towns being represented like that. They need to get it together.

Crosby has the talent to compete, we just are playing offense without any real spread risk, there's very little east west pressure so all teams do is put middle pressure, and play deep routes.
