Well, it is more than just Silsbee folk that believe that.  I tell you what, you appear to be a betting man.  So I propose a wager that will not cost you any money or deny you posting privileges as you are way too interesting a poster to keep of the site for an entire school year.
 
If HJ does win, I will carry the following passage in my signature line until the end of the 2014-15 school year:

HJ has lost to Silsbee in football EVERY YEAR except 2!!!! You lost last year in every measurable sport to Silsbee. The only think HJ can beat Silsbee in is the number of people who still use a functional out house! #Silsbeeownsyou

Just wanted to take a minute and say congratulations to Sabine County native Justin Twine. This remarkable young man was selected 43rd overall in the 2014 MLB draft by the Miami Marlins. He was the 3rd overall Texas high school player taken. Whether he actually goes to Miami or decides to stay at TCU I will be supporting him and his team. For those that don't know Justin he is great young man. One of the most respectful and humble people I've ever known. Justin never and has never been one to brag about his accomplishments. I've heard him brag about his teammates and their accomplishments but never his own. Well Justin, I'll do the bragging for you!! You are one of the best things to come out of Sabine County. We are extremely proud of you and will be faithful followers and fans throughout your career. Justin, words can't describe how excited I and my family are for you, when your name was called last night we uncontrolably jumped from our seats hollering and fist pumping as if our hometown team had just won a state championship!! Great job buddy, you most definately deserve this!

The thing i find hard to believe is that one team could have both the first and second team DH.  I would be willing to bet that neither kid dh'd all year.  They may have had high batting averages and deserved some recognition but not to take it away from someone who was actually a DH.

Tyler Edwards, the 6'5" 275lb. TE/DE from Buna, just got offered a full ride to Lamar University to play on the Offensive Line.  Congrats Tyler!

I watched this game last night with mixed emotions, happy for the victory but sad to realize this will probably be the last time these guys will all be on the field together. This group of Seniors from both schools have been playing ball together since they were 7 years old. Some years they were separated and competed against one another while other years they played on the same team. It has been a great ride to say the least and a lot of fun seeing these young men grow up and succeed not only in baseball but life in general. For me personally I gained a lot of really good friends throughout this time and I consider myself fortunate for that every day. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for these young men. To all my friends from Silsbee, it's been a blast and I wish you nothing but the best down the road. To Tyler Powell, Colby Leblanc, Jordan Gore, Brayden Griffin, and Matthew Hartman I hope you guys have another great run in the playoffs and continue your success in everything you do. To my Senior guys from BC that played with us (Blaine Mcelduff, Keaton Langston and Hunter Uzzle) I hope for a long playoff run as well and a great life after baseball. Time sure flies and it seems like we just got started.

Buna's Ty Cleveland had 2 Homeruns against Broaddus to up his homerun count to 4..

Jacob verbally comitted today to northwest OSU. in Alva. Four year D2. Great young man who has put the work in and it's paid off...JOB WELL DONE KID!
