  1. We live in the greatest country in the world because of the sacrifices of our veterans.  I am proud to have served in the USAF, and in Desert Storm.  As the father of three boys, my hope and prayer is they will live in a free society and never have to go through a major war.  Thank you to all that have served, and God bless the United States of America.
  2. [color=purple]I am really looking forward to it.  Everyone is talking about giving CCS some time, but remember, this is only Chester's second year playing 6-man.  Being one of the smallest 1-A schools in the state, we are well aware of the importance of staying healthy and depending on each other.  Chester currently has 10 young men on the team, and that just doesn't give you much room if the injury-bug comes a knockin'.  Best of luck to both team, and should be a great game.  I'm thinking about tail-gating before the game, so if you see someone with a very faded purple high school jersey, stop by and say hi.

  3. It was an amazing weekend, that I was very happy to be a part of.  The boys really worked hard, and just played their hearts out.  It was a great start to what is going to be a tough three week schedule.  We played this weekend, and didn't get through until after 10 p.m., and then we have the Nations state tourney in Beaumont, and then off to Gulf Shores for the USSSA Global world series.  It will be a fun ride, and this was a great way to start it off.
  4. They mentioned it on the news this evening.  The report said the player was knocked unconscious, and that he remained like that for quite some time.  He was flown to Galveston, and that early reports were he would be fine.  This is just information gathered from the news.  Prayers to the young man, and his family from the Beans.
  5. I heard something at practice this morning that a player was hurt at the Bridge City Senior League park, can anyone confirm this?  I'd like to send prayers out to the player and his family.  We heard that he was life-flighted from the field.  Sports is always a game of chance, and has an element of danger, but you sure hate to hear this.  I would just like to hear if this is true, or simply a rumor.
