1. Way to go 'Jackets!  That sounds like one heck of a game, wish I could have been there.
2. No sir, just a country boy who married a good looking girl from Bridge City.  Thanks a bunch, and good luck this weekend, whomever you're rooting for.
3. Thank you sir, and I do agree.  As long as it doesn't get out of hand, discussion should be allowed.  I try to keep everything positive (not reflected by my negative karma), but you can't control everything.  I was just curious, and appreciate your reply.
4. When a topic is moved, such as: MOVED: good stuff feel free to add.... where was it moved to?
5.
Good idea DC9 ! I just donated my money back to league because I just withdrew from my Saturday games and the rest of the season.  So far I am the 5th official (all senior officials 5+ years experience) to withdrawl from STJFL since the postings started Saturday.  The way it is looking you (the parents/coaches) will be donating your time officiating your kids the rest of the season.  This is including playoffs and superbowl.  Now I can spend time with my family and enjoy the rest of the football season.  I know of many more that will be following suit.  GOOD LUCK REST OF SEASON.  Let me know if you need an officiating book, I have an extra one (400 plus pages)
I read this with a chuckle.  While I do not discard your sentiment, your anger or frustration, I have to disagree with your idea to quit.  I have a job (police work) where everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING is scrutinized under a microsope.  Everyone can do my job better, if you put full stock in the postings that are placed on anonymous blogs.  However, I do not have the luxury of taking my stripes and running home to the safety of my family.  There are loudmouths out there, and they are not fun to deal with.  As a coach off-duty, I tell the kids they have to block out what goes on in the stands.  Their focus needs to be on the field, and not on their parents, the other team, or any other distractions that are out there.  If your association wants to quit, I don't think there is anyone that can stop you.  Just know there are those of us out there that appreciate your time.  There are those that appreciate the job you do, and the scarficies you make.  Quitting is not the answer.  Dismiss the ranting and stark lunacy of those parents and realize what you do is a needed service.
6. That was truly a fun game to watch.  It went back and forth, and there were injuries on both sides.  The teams were well coached and obviously ready to play their hearts out.  I really enjoyed it, and congratulate Bridge City on a hard fought victory.
7. We can sit here and say that prior to the season starting, everyone was saying that the road for district goes through PN-G.  Well if thats the case, i like that road.  Everyone predicted that Livingston would hand us our first district loss and that Livingston would go on to take the crown, well that didn't happen last night.  You beat Lumberton, who had a good 3 year run.  You beat Ozen, what I call our Basketball school.  Holla at me when you beat Central, Nederland, PN-G, Livingston and even Vidor on a consitant basis.  Holla at me when you make it past the 2nd round or even past the 1st round of the playoffs.  Until then, you are just the other school in Orange County.  But what would that prove. Us at Central know how it feels to always be picked against, be the underdog, non-favorite.  No score prediction needed, we will prove it on the field.  To all my Central fans, be there early and be loud cause apparently we still have something to prove. I forwarned all of you Bear fans...
Very classy (Insert sarcasm here).

9. Matt Menard  - Bridge City Throws the ball great, and runs like a tank.
10. The score was 50 to 0 if I remember correctly.  Orangefield plays hard, they just don't have a lot of depth.  I think they only had 15 or 16 players.  Why don't more scores get posted?
11. Central Medical Magnate does well for itself.  Perhaps it's the BISD backlash, or perhaps it is just a perceived slight.....but they are always competitive, and have a great band.
12. I'm looking forward to my trip to beautiful Aubrey Bradley Stadium.  Hope we get to keep some of this weather....always better when it's cold at the game.
13.
PN-G Purple Vs. WO-S in the Senior Super Bowl!!! u heard it here first.
I like that, breaking news fresh off the presses.  Bridge City probably won't have a shot anyway, so you are probably right.  I think everyone should overlook them, and just count them out.  They'll just play out the remainder of their season and look forward to baseball......or......well, just go ahead and forget about 'em. ;)
14. Purple helmet with a big gold, "C" on both sides.  They also have purple facemasks.
15. I will work on getting it for you.  I am going to the game on the 8th, but my best friend is the AD so I'll text him real quick.
16. A friend of mine showed that to me at work, and man....that stuff just chokes me up.  I also love those "Make-A-Wish" segments on ESPN.  I really salute those coaches and can't imagine how his parents handled it.  Great story!

18. It was the first game of the district season.....a lot of things can happen.  There are always some great teams in this district, and it's pretty good when it comes to parity.  Get back on track and start playing.
19. BC vs. LC was postponed due to lightning.  I think it was rescheduled for Monday at 5:30, still at LC.  Supposed to have a cool front coming in, low humidity and a great breeze, so it should be a great evening for football.
20. Sad news, and best wishes and prayers from Bridge City for the family and the team.
