Some talk on other site Chapel Hill to roll over LCM.  Like El Campo before them - like Kilgore was thinking about Chapel Hill, that kind of thinking will get you beat.  They see Vidor beat LCM, and they beat Vidor, forgetting the fact that Vidor was 100% healthy when the Pirates beat LCM, and played CH with a crippled backfield and HC missing.  Plus the Bears appear to be peaking.  Methinks CH is in for a surprise.

Hope so. Took a look at some of the Chapel Hill highlights. Look like a tough team to defend. #1 looks really quick and their wideouts have big play potential, especially when they get them in space. The quarterback is big and fast, not all that accurate but he makes the short easy throws and then goes deep from time to time utilizing their speed. He also a good scrambler once he sees open field, can chew up yards in a hurry. On the defensive side to be average. They play like several other East Texas teams with a high profile offense who looks to strike quick and out score their opponents

A long lost poster. "Haven't heard from you in a while.

Been a few years..Life gets busy.

Anyway, this Pleasant Grove fan base is sure confident they are going to be able to show WOS something new. Example: this poster talks if putting 5 touchdowns on the Mustangs

Wow, 13 pages and I'm just now getting to put in my 2 cents...

I think our biggest advantage is our game plan, coaching, and how coachable our Hawks are. They have the athleticism, brains, and drive to come out on top. We are healthy, smart, and motivated...be prepared for the Hawks to put on a show.

    PG 35

    WOS 18

  3. Checked PG out on some YouTube highlights. Solid coached football club that relies on execution. They have a big line and have some nifty backs. Occasionally will run a pass play just to keep defense honest. Lots of misdirection plays. Gilmer put some points on them but couldn't stop them. I look for the Mustangs to sell out on the run on first down and put them in some long yardage situations. I believe the Stangs will be up for the challenge

  4. I don't know why but WO-S offensive line has gotten smaller and smaller over the years. When matched up with a big physical defensive line, the Mustangs struggle.  It is hard to get an offense going when the ball is snapped and there are 2 or 3 defensive players in the backfield.  Throw in a penalty or two and the drive is over.  Athletic receivers and backs are great but the game is won in the trenches.  Seems like WO-S needs to work on their line first.  When the nosetackle is getting plastered every play, it is only a matter time before bad snaps start happening.

  5. Not much of a surprise really!! I expected Jasper to be able to play with WO-S.  Jasper played a good first half with Gilmer, so I knew they had talent.  WO-S is just not playing the complete game.  The WO-S offensive line has to get more physical, receivers have to start making plays.  Defense is playing well enough to win.  Looking forward to Jasper vs. Carthage game, that should be for district title
