This baseball game has been moved to Nederland with varsity only starting at 6:00

The Silsbee Tigers and Nederland Bulldogs will open the season for the third time in a row to start the 2020 baseball season in Silsbee. The past two openers these teams have split, with the Bulldogs winning in 2018 5-0 and the Tigers winning in 2019 5-2. The JV start at 4:30 and Varsity starts at 7:00.

The Silsbee v Nederland game in Silsbee tonight has been postponed till tomorrow/Tuesday still in Silsbee. JV starts at 4:30 and Varsity at 7:00.

All is right in the world, the Tigers sent the mustangs home again.

Silsbee will be without two defense starters tonight. They suffered season ending injuries against Giddings.

The Tigers and Mustangs have turned it up a notch in the playoffs. Silsbee has played a third seed, fourth seed and a district champion averaging 44.0 points per game and giving up 13.3 points per game. WOS has played a fourth seed, third seed and a second seed averaging 40.6 points per game and giving up 11.6 points per game. As always in a Tiger/Mustang game it will come down to turnovers and special teams. That is how the Mustangs beat the Tigers in the first game this year, having three takeaways and playing field position in the punting game. The two best 4A teams in the Golden Tringle will battle it out at Beaumont ISD Memorial Stadium for the right to play in the state semi-final game.
