The ball game was over almost at 11:00. It started at 7:00. Silsbee went through six pitcher and Nederland used three pitcher.

Silsbee issued 10 walks and Nederland issued 5 walks. Each team had 7 pass balls/wild pitches. You could tell the layoff from the weather had effected the pitchers and catcher more that the batters and fielders. Yeah, a bit rusty. Usually the pitcher are ahead of the batters early in the season.

For the fourth year in a row these two teams will meet up on Opening Day of Texas High School Baseball, the Silsbee Tigers and Nederland Bulldogs. This year the game will be played in Silsbee at the Tiger Diamond with the JV starting at 4:30 and the Varsity starting at 7:00. The Bulldogs own a 2-1 record in those meeting winning in 2018 5-0 and winning 2-1 last year holding off the Tigers in the last inning. The Tigers won in 2019 4-2 in come from behind fashion in the last innings. Looking forward to an exciting game tonight at the Tiger Diamond. TigerNation!!!

Makes me wonder, also. I wanted to see this new crop of Tigers this year in person, but with the live streaming I didn't have to worry. I prefer games in person and a Silsbee game is fun to watch. I go way back to watching the Tigers at McDonald Gym and Beaumont Civic Center playing teams like Hebert and then the games with Lincoln and then on to HJ.
