The Silsbee Tigers will play the Brownsboro Bears in Nacogdoches on Thursday starting at 5:00. The Tiger scrimmaged the Lions from Livingston last week. The Tigers offense scored five total TDs, one being called back for a penalty. Silsbee was able to score through the air and with a ground attack, a little inconsistent on moving the ball as all TDs came from long yards. The Tiger defense gave up three total TDs, one being called back for a penalty. Silsbee D gave up some long drives early in the scrimmage with two scoring through the air, but settled down and held Livingston scoreless in the end of the scrimmage. Both teams threw an INT. I would like to see Silsbee be more consistent on driving the ball down the field and eat up the clock on offense and tackle better on defense. Should be a good test to get the Tigers ready for the start of the season. One more scrimmage to get ready. TigerNation!!!

In the controlled scrimmage Livingston and Silsbee both scored 2 TD. Then these two teams played a half with a live clock. Silsbee out scored Livingston 14-0. Both Silsbee and Livingston had a TD called back.

Porters first year Lumberton won one game. Last year, after three years, Lumberton won 17 games and lost out on the playoffs on the last game of the season. Porter had that program headed in the right direction with young players coming back. I don't know what the new AD is looking for, but the program was successful under Porter. Good luck Josh.

Orangefield is so fundamentally sound and patient that’s why they’re hard to beat. I haven’t seen Rusk, but ranked in the top 20, they must be doing something right. IF, and I say IF, Rusk has one pitcher like the other poster said he needs to make quick work every inning and stretch his pitch count out.

22-4A v 21-4A, flip a coin these teams are so close together. All these teams have playoff experience and given that "what team shows up" and "on any given day" attitude, on paper I don't see one team totally dominating another. This game is for the third seed and basically three teams playoff chances. LCM wins they are the #3 seed and BC is tied with Lumberton for the #4 seed. A BC win and LCM and BC are tied for the #3 seed and they will have to have some kind of tie breaker, also Lumberton will be eliminated.
