Out at 2nd prior to run!!! Bad call for a game winning run... 

It looked like the runner was tagged out at second before the runner crossed the plate. Tough call. HJ had several chances to score runs tonight. Just couldn't get a hit when they needed it. Had based loaded in first with no outs and didn't score. Congrats to BC! Let's close this thing out tomorrow!

Braydon Creduer,Conner Kemp, Alan Underwood & Jacob Mares have been very strong pitching this year.
Landon Hiltz(.462) Trenton Simon(.377) Alex Ortiz(.352) Angel Castillo(.360) have been solid hitting all year. Brian Davila has come thru with clutch hits in district & playoffs. Adam Roccaforte is back swinging well after missing a few games due to injury. Kyler Bertrand has a .368 avg./.455 ob% pinch hitting/DH       
Case Babino is one of the best catchers in the state anchors a strong defensive unit with speed,good arms(Castillo-LF, Davila-CF, Ortiz-RF) in the outfield,solid defense at the corners with strong arms(Underwood-3rd,Simon-1st,Butler-3rd) & a smooth & quick middle infield (Hiltz-SS,Roccaforte-2nd)       

Nederland wins 11-2 and will advance to play Galena Park next week.

The HJ job is tough for anyone to take.  It does not pay very well, LOW BUDGET, the district will not improve facilities(you can see that by not having baseball lights.. still the laughing stock of the state), Jr. high in cubicles(FEMA will not give them any money until they raise the old high school up like 2 ft.. which will not happen), the people in the district will not pass a bond(they feel the money from last bond was squandered, things that were supposed to be done were not), new AD will not be able to run a 4A athletic program correctly without interference from other head coaching sports (this will not change, look at Admin., any other school in the state of Texas if the head of other sports have any problems with the way the AD is running things... they would be gone.. that is not going to happen at HJ. 
Until these things are fixed.. HJ will be nothing but a stepping stone and will get only coaches that will use it that way.

I've heard same... as well as just having  attitudes and might quit listening to coaches and play plays they want... some talking of quitting but if that's what they want then they don't want to play and get off the field and let those that do... we are definitely beating ourselves I just don't like bad officiating on top of it

Only two games now separate the Port Neches-Groves Indians as they return to the 5A State Championship Tournament for the 1st time since 2004.  Today they look to take one more step toward that title as they take on the Frisco Wakeland Wolverines in this Class 5A State Semifinal game!  Scott Carter's Indians, 32-8-2 on the season, are the Champions of Region III, besting Brenham in the Regional Finals, 5-3 and 4-0.  Meanwhile, the Wolverines, 38-4-1 on the season are Champions of Region II after besting Mansfield Legacy in the Regional Finals, 6-4 and 5-1.
The winner of this game will face the winner of the Corpus Christi Moody/Grapevine semifinal, which will take place immediately after.

After all that has gone on in the last couple of weeks, nobody would have blamed you for folding up like a cheap tent.  But you guys managed to go farther than any other Kirbyville baseball team ever did.  Your community should be proud of you on so many levels.
