why not Lamar  for Nederland and Ozen ?

That's why I was wondering if anyone has seen the new schedule, the home and away from the previous year means nothing and even the order you play the district games can change, Nederland may not start district play with Vidor.     WOSgrad have you heard when they might come out with the new schedules?

I haven't seen the district schedule for 20 4a, did the order of games stay the same or did the uil change the order games ?

I thought 20-4A was bad with 80 picks, 17-4A had 96 picks with Montgomery and Brenham having about 20 apiece, although I didn't count them exactly, did the rest of the league get partisipation ribbons as well.

I know SFA85 is proud of his Titans now, but it wasn't that long ago he was saying XBOX Kenny couldn't get the job done, couldn't win running the spread because it made your defense play like sissy's, these where harsh attacks on the PA program and Coach Harrison to the point that he was done with the PA titans until they did something about XBOX, but they stuck with him and look what he has done, PA now has a football program that they can be proud of.          Congrat's to coach Harrison, PA, and the Titans from the middle kingdom.

[/quote]   I'm happy for the kids that made the all district team, but 80 players making all district, that's 10 players per team in an 8 team league, so half the league is all district ?  It just doesn't mean what it use to.

Taunting should draw a flag for unsportsman like conduct every time, If the ref's saw a player taunting another teams coaches it should have been a 15 yd penalty after the half. The UIL needs to take action on taunting and do it this off season, make it clear to the ref's this will not be tolerated whether it is towards a player, a coach or the fans.

[/quote]       If I remember correctly Bay City ran 4 plays on our side of the field the entire game , they just happened to get a TD on a bootleg pass and we spent all night on their end of the field only to come up short, they also had a hell of a defense, but I agree that was our best chance for a state championship.

    Nederland is loaded with underclassmen and a great freshmen group, so I think we will see the dogs going deep into the playoffs for a few more years, remember when you get this far you have to have some breaks go your way and the dogs didn't get any tonight.     Thanks to the seniors for leading this team back to prominance in the region and setting the bar high for next years group.    I think this team has 17 to 18 starters coming back, can't wait till next year.

Working on my karma, lol    My son played LaMarque 4 times in 02 and 03 and nederland never had any issues with LaMarque, there may have been isolated encounters but over all no problems, lots of respect on both sides

Play with respect and you get respect, both teams are at fault and the police are their for everyone's protection, not just the crowd, if the players are not stopping when they are told they should be pepper sprayed, everyone wants to sue and say it's not my kids fault and that's the main problem these days, if your old enough to act like an idiot you should be treated like an idiot

dogs kicking game is normally solid, can't miss short fg's, this should be a 10 point game. I do like the pace of the game so far, this favors Nederland if they can keep it up for 2 more qtrs.

Hats off to the LaMarque defense because Ozen could have won this game if it were not for the stops LaMarque made with their backs to the wall over and over again, Ozen played the whole second half in the red zone and got one score.    Great effort Ozen, but to many mistakes against a good team.

Field Turf    Wind should be the biggest factor, 30-40 mph and getting colder

Terrible play calling and clock management by the Ozen coaches, you have Trey Green sitting on the sidelines when your inside the 5 yd line and 15 sec on the clock and you get nothing, just pitiful. You took the ball out of your best players hands and ran it with no time outs left.

2004 Nederland Bulldogs, opened the season with a 37-7 thumping of Texas City(the eventual 24-4a champion) and allowed only 97 total yds and then lost 3 games by a total of 8 points, WOS 32-30, Friendswood 33-30and Ozen 40-37, wound up tied for the district championship and lost to Jacksonville in the second round 20-14, that was a big disappiontment because the winner played LaMarque and Nederland really thought this was their year to beat LaMarque after losing to them 4 times in 2 years during the 02 and 03 seasons. Wound up with an 8-4 record and had the districts top offense and defense but just couldn't catch a break at the right time, tough year, but that was a great team.
