What's "wrong" in Nederland sure as heck hasn't been the football and athletic programs, and Barrow has been an instrumental part of that success...what needs to change, is the community support for bringing the district out of the 60's and 70's with regards to facilities and the like...one day people will realize that hopefully

We all hit the streets and push the truth to the city. Vote people on the school board who have the same vision for our cities future and the future of our kids. Don't except those who think the sky is falling and we can't do it! Be a generation to make a difference and stop living off what people in the 50's accomplished. We need to step it up!!

Better advertising and knowledge of the bonds was major concern at one meeting. Plus the city needs to turn a new leaf. The older community is moving off and the community population is getting younger that sees the change for the better and knew how bad the schools were when they were in school 10, 15 even 20 years ago. And they don't want to put their kids in that school. The high school was built in 1971. Time to upgrade and build for the future in all the schools. Look at the local school districts upgrading and bettering their children future by building new. Time to join the party and get out the moldy old buildings. 

Barrows is the right choice
If Barrows gets it, the right guy did hear about it. Problem with Nederland is we just can't get the community to support upgrading our city. Putting band aides on stuff gets old. We do have great teachers and coaches, just poor facilities. Hopefully one day the right school board will assemble and support the direction of "new"!!

All coaches know you never want to be the first guy to follow a Legend and in Nederland, Neumann is a Legend. Barrow is the logical choice to continue the tradition. If he is not successful then you truly open it up and bring in a new voice with a new philosophy. It really is a simple concept, you continue what has been good in Nederland until it ceases to be good.

And ill agree about Nederland's lack of facilities compared to others in the area.

It is no where near the attractive job some perceive it to be.  Land locked, no growth, limited financial support from the community... 

No sir, my statement means I'll take neumanns backing of Barrow & what they both have proven at Nederland over Claytons lobbying of Simmons 

Seems there may be another candidate not listed in the foi....stay tuned. And when this is all said and done, and election time rolls around..... take a look and ask around about the candidates for school board. IMO it's time for change.

My vote would be for Coach Barrow to get it, give him three years to get his Masters. Why try to fix what isn't broken!! Any other decision would be a setback to Nederland Athletics, not just football. Besides only the current coaching staff knows how to run the secret spring football game without getting busted!! Right BMTSoulja1? ha!!

True leaders and real men dont get their value from attention or having people fawn over you.  Neumann proved to be a focused leader, that is why his teams won.  He was able to get them to focus intently, as a group, on a common goal, and work like heck to make it happen.  Right now, he obviously has other things he needs to focus on.  We just need to give the man some space, but it has been one helluva ride.

I think Ware should bark on camera if the Dogs win.

I really can't say much about this game. We have a grandson playing on each side of the ball. A senior at PNG and a junior at Nederland. I guess it's a no lose game for me. 

This sums it up!

I think I know why... Ned fans aren't talking trash because we know we are the underdogs. PN-G fans aren't talking trash cause they've lost 6 straight in the series and were favored in at least 3 of those ball games. MCM... anything can happen.

Seen both teams play, WOS would win our district, they would beat Memorial and PNG, already beat Nederland. They really are that talented and coach the talent well. Memorial is loaded with talent, PNG has many playmakers as well. WOS is simply better this year.

I can see it now.  We'll win the coin toss...  We'll defer.  Nederland scores first drive...  Wrong QB will be in, wrong offense will be ran.  Jet Sweep right, jet sweep fake, trap handoff, sack.  Punt.  (3 and out).  This will happen. Twice and we'll be down 2 scores.   I'll close my eyes for the rest of the game...
