  1. Thats Not Stewart... I can pull up his Comments before the play-off games with Crosby... Comments that got bulletin boarded i assure you... He has more "oversights" than any other coach in 19-4a when it comes to bulletin board material... TBH Crosby is a Very talented team they always are their just normally very undisciplined and thats how Dayton beat them... Very disciplined very head a swivel style football... The past Three years have been the closet years talent wise with Crosby and Dayton and the Coaching has proved the key determinate... thiers also soemthing to be said about swagger. My Senior year 07-08, The retarded District rules that you people have in that other district.... Screwed Dayton out of a Conference championship... If that doesn't occur Crosby Doesn't play dayton and Honestly that team would of Made it to the 4th round. Talent wise that Year Crosby and Dayton were very even, we all know the talent dayton had... But Crosby had Durran Starks (IOWA), Chance Casey (starting freshman at Baylor), Xavier Frank(soph), a GREAT! D line, Talented Linebackers and a small but very smart secondary. The O-Line was anchored by a couple Beast. and The Racievers were very good aswell (everyone could catch the ball) I remember a Catch by Preston Cantrell in which he jumped over a BH defended and Caught the ball... Talent has never been the issue with Dayton... But its starting to be Like the Stewart Curse... You are certainly right, Crosby had some great talent. But, you might want to be careful about what you post, Starks went to Grand View were he played behind Gregory Charles (Dayton) same class as Starks. I checked the roster for this year and he is not listed. Is still still there, if not where is he.
  2. In this quote lies the problem! way to support your program TEL.... could this mentality be filtering down to the Kids?? if they are doing what you say; putting their heads down when the first time it goes bad, saying they can't beat them, and then blaming the coach? this is the same mentality of the above statement.!!!! Is this what you want to teach our kids? If it is going to be tough, quit and don't worry about it and blame someone else????? Victory happens in the mind first......Instilling disbelief will crush a team, on and off the field. My suggestion is shut your mouth unless you have something positive to say especially about your home town!!!!! Wow, Hitman I thought a winner is always the one who is able to give his opponent what he has earned. If I remember correctly Dayton has been the better team for sometime know. Until, that changes it is just plain and simple the truth. If you look at Flanigan's record vs. Stewart it looks like Stewart has the overwhelming edge in the head to head also in the amount of playoff visit's and depth in the playoff's. I don't recall reading anything about let's not try, just give up or they have no chance. In fact, I think he said they will prepare and play hard, that just reaks of negativity. You are quite the role model, shut your mouth unless you have something positive to say! Take some of your own advice, everyone in Crosby would like to see a win this year. Odds are it might not happen this year. If you don't like what you hear then don't post on the site, not everyone has to believe or follow your wishes.
  3. There are enough people on here talking about how Crosby sucks but it is reprehensible when people in the community are doing it. It would be the same thing if someone from Crosby was here post negative remarks about Crosby baseball. None of the Crosby facilities are up to par, except maybe golf (Newport) or basketball. All upgrades were last started during the Dickey or Larry Haynes era. What has he spent money on? I'm pretty sure the baseball and softball facilities could be upgraded or replaced but so could the stands, track, pressbox, scoreboard, fieldhouse, training facility, restrooms, lockers, weight rooms and visitor area at the football field. Crosby's facilities are one of the least desirable in the area now. Crosby's current AD is fair to all sports and is a person of integrity. By the way here is the quote from Wayne Graham. "It's just another advantage - mentally - to have played football," said Graham, who recalled how his experiences playing football at Reagan High School helped him as a baseball player. "We always have a desire to (recruit two-sport athletes)." [Hidden Content] And I have to agree. I forgot about Trey Buck, he probably is the best baseball player since Towles but there is one on this team that may end up being better. Thank you for the quote info from Wayne Graham, can't argue with the statement from a proven winner. Yet, I would have to say I don't quite agree with your assesment of the spending of the funds for the athletic department. It seams that there is no lack of updated equipment, uniforms, cleats, work out clothing or even the basic playing conditions that are in place for the football program. I would say there is quite a comparison when it comes to those things when it comes to the remaining other sports, sub par just isn't quite the word for equipement, playing conditions and uniforms. It seams that there are more than just a few sports that rely on the parents to purchase the equipment and essential parts of the uniform instead of this being provided or even partially provided. If I may ask, who is the baseball player that may become better than the Buck or Towles?
  4. Hey 4x4 when and where did Wayne Graham make this statement? I certainly wouldn't argue the statement if it came from Graham, but just curious of where this came from.
  5. Finally, I know for a fact that at least one baseball parent has been on here bad mouthing their son's own school because they have a beef with Crosby's FB coach. This is petty and immature. It's funny that the best baseball player in Crosby since J.R. Towles is now playing and starting on defense. This would have never happened if the Thompsons were still here. Maybe Wayne Graham was right, playing football makes you a better baseball player. Wow, 4x4 looks like you may have a beef with a baseball parent? If you thought he was immature by posting, I guess you are as well. I have no problem with being immature if this is what you call it. I agree that the player you are refering to now playing baseball is one of the most talented players to come thru Crosby in a while, yet their maybe some past kids over looked such as Buck or even a couple players on the current team. It's no secret that many good athletes don't play football because of Flanigan and the way he operates his program. If you thought Thompson's had so much control you may want to rethink, look at the facilities and the way there hands always seemed to be tied by Flanigan and his football first everything else last.
  6. I know that there is a list of supplements that are not allowed by UIL, is Creatine allowed or not?
  7. Just to many issues, and too few athletes this year in Crosby. Going to fight for a spot behind Dayton and a tough rest of the district. Dayton north Forest BH Crosby CE King Galena Baytown KP
  8. With the departing of Xavier Franks, It is going to be a long hard road for us here in Crosby. Alot of kids are going to have to step up to make up for this loss.
  9. As long as Flanigan is there, football will reign and baseball will be like beach volleyball at the North Pole. Good luck with who ever is the new coach on improvements.
