1.
Good point, never snapped to that.  I just know back in the day, the District Champion 9 out of 10 times had the MVP.   The MVP of 19-4A is a different topic, I think every team has a case for a few of its players on why they feel they should be MVP,  as far as the team to beat, as of this week it is KWP. This may all change by this Friday night.  With the way district play is going you better take one game at a time and not look ahead.
I agree change may happen this week, teams could separate themselves this week.  Crosby 5 - KP 3                                            It is early in the week, see what happens on Friday. (Crosby - GCM @ Crosby)   Langley dbl & HR,  Rachel dbl,  Hebert dbl,  Gabryzswski dbl I think Langley is hitting over .400 and slugging around .600, MVP candidate maybe.
2. Gametime,  regarding long toss, when I was brought up it was taught long toss as said produces velocity and stamina.  For the last couple of years I have heard conflicting statements about long toss actually doing what I have believed for so long.  Have you seen any studies or any info that back up what you have said and I have believed to be true? I would also say that the type of pitcher, power, finese or breaking ball specialist comes into play when addressing pitches allowed and total game innings.
3. I will tell you this, I think Wiggins has done a pretty good job with the young men, they are playing very hard and have a never quit attitude.  I really don't care what he did somewhere else, he should be commended for what he had done so far, if he keeps this up he will have a winning tradition for as long as he is in Crosby.
4. GCM 12 - KP 9, score a thon, GCM just keeps hitting dingers.
5. What is the center of the SETX, is it Beaumont?  How far south is Jasper and Kirbyville?  How far east is Huffman, Crosby, Baytown and Dayton?  Is the SETX based on Texas or just were you would like it to be?
6. Crosby has played 6 district games and he has pitched in 3 of them, If you compare to the other ace's in our district I think that is pretty normal. GP is always a scrappy team that plays good defense and will make you swing the bat. Crosby 6 - GP 5
7. How is it that Crosby with a better district record 6 - 0 and non district 17 -2 are ranked lower that Vidor and LCM? This is not to take away from either of them, both programs are very good but I believe no losses in district should dictate a better ranking than 2 losses.
8. Crosby 17 -2, 6 - 0 in district, I think they should move up.
9. Great win for GP, who do they play this Thursday? Look forward to the GP - Crosby game
10. It will be interesting to see who they pitch as well, those BH boy's hit the ball.
11. How you can justify one and not the other is beyond me.  How exactly did Smesny do it everyday, I don't recall him pitching both games each week and throwing that many pitches.  Exactly what level of player is this study being done on?  Is it 15 - 18 year olds, because unless it is you are talking about a big difference in the development of their body compared to college, minor or pro player's. How many college players do you see throw that many pitches in an outing?
12. I wouldn't be so sure about that.  I think if I was Dayton I would be more concerned with who they play this week.
13. I would agree, yet it is quite early to name a best team.  Let's see what unfolds after everyone plays the first round of district. GCM & KP played awful tough, and GP is staying under the radar so far.
14. Heard much on GP?  They seem to have been playing some good teams.
15. Crosby -             Mangum 10 - 10             Bench  6 - 7             Hebert 5 - 5             Fieramusca  5 - 5
16. Wow, didn't relize he threw that many pitches.  I can't imagine that he will be allowed to throw many pitches again, it just isn't worth the risk of an arm injury for a non playoff win. I sure hope he get's some rest for his arm and his count is watched his next couple outings.
17. Crosby 10 - Dayton 3, @ home + good hitting = win for coogs.
18. Last night should be enough to put Crosby in the top 10, quality wins. 2 of them in extra's over KP and GCM.
