Against Buna ….. make a relatively smart comparison, your better than that. last years coach lost to woodville twice by much more embarrassing scores. this Jr heavy team fight all game long with game changing turnovers that killed the run. self inflicted mistakes lost the game, not the offense. that worn out Wing T wouldn’t have made a difference.

Woodville (27) @ Orangefield (7) - FINAL
Bobcat101 replied to jdawg03's topic in High School Football
Seemed like forward motion had stop before the strip ball for the TD -
Where we at the same game. the only scoring LCM had where against second team defense that had mostly Freshman & sophomore on defense that where playing to make the cut. Even at the end, the referees waved off a Pass interference when it was clearly one. The next play the same cornerback was ejected from the game for punching. Then a 40 years pass then TD. I would say that would cause some celebration for Orangefield players & coaching staff.

Still 60/40 run but the passing threat holds the linebackers & opens the run game. Probably more passing yards this game than all games last year combined. The passing game is just a step off but only been throwing the ball 3 weeks over the last 12 years…. Little tweak to the timing & it’s gonna get better. Jr running only gotten better.

Yep. LCM would have had about 7 players ejected in a non scrimmage game.

Orangefield scores on game situation. 7:0

Already looking for a PNG type scandal! 😂

Orangefield vs. Franklin - FRANKLIN ADVANCES!
Bobcat101 replied to Bobcat1's topic in High School Baseball
Clearly on the video the pitcher never comes set & didn’t step off the rubber & if the batter would have swung it would have been catchers interference. But I’m no expert on that part of the catchers interference. But since it was a pitch & not a throw to home plate the batters still had the right to swing even though the catcher was in front of the plate. -

I saw the second base umpire raise his hands as in a Balk. But who knows. -

Lucky for Orangefield there’s only 3 games max to play. Someone said they had a pitcher or 2 throw 90’s but I don’t know that for a fact. Rumors. it appears that Orangefield will see some faster pitchers this round. Generally speaking I haven’t been too impressed with Orangefield opponents pitching. Only pitcher so far that was fast (92 mph) was vs Woodville in first game & Orangefield got several runs off of him. Looking for a good series with no injuries for both teams. -

Fantastic article. 50/50 split. Normally these articles are 80% how good the other team is. -
3rd Game. Orangefield 11 Woodville 0 5 innings

Orangefield “Ace” is a Sr with multiple no hitters this season that doesn’t play football but I know who you’re inferring to. Touché @PhatMack19 Touché

Maybe the Nederland folks will realize someone else besides the AD may be the issue. why do people in general feel like social media is were anything & everything gets resolved. It wasn’t intentional & it was a general drill. if helmets weren’t used & the other kid cuts his eye on the baseball players elbow. I’m sure the headlines would be. WHY are these young babies NOT wearing helmets….

Wow…. Didn’t think would happen. Hardin played Orangefield tight.

Buna won. What does that do ?

Anyone knows how a 3 way tie is broken at the high school level ?

From OISD Facebook Bobcats clinch District Championship The Orangefield Bobcats clinched the district championship Tuesday night with a 6-4 win over the Hardin Hornets. Kane Smith, Logan Cheek, and Matthew Johnson led the offense with two hits each. Cameron Dearing drove in 3 runs on the night. Carson Gonzales earned the win in relief, pitching 5.2 innings of 1 hit baseball, allowing zero runs with 6 strikeouts. The Bobcats have district matchups vs Kountze and Anahuac left, before heading into playoff baseball.

I think finally the bats are getting hotter for Orangefield. Beginning of the season they struggled with timely hits & left too many on base. Seems they are starting to score some runs Bullpen is strong Their #1 pitcher (#13) Sr pounds the strike zone consistently. upper 70’s low 80’ #18 (Sophomore) is getting consistent in the strike zone get lots of K’s low 80’s #17 (Freshman) is gaining confidence & getting comfortable on the mound mid 85+ #20 (Sr) getting better & catching up after basketball should move up in the rotation as his arm strength increases, low/mid 80’s. Definitely gonna need some pitching to make a deep run in the playoffs

Remember though, BC has much much more superior athletes than Orangefield. 😂😂😂😜😜. .

Been killing OF the entire season. The rebounding was/is the weakness. -
I’m trying to see what the difference you are complaining about. Over the last 12 years Orangefield has been .500 Being .500 running Slot T is different from .500 “Wide open West Coast Offense” as you say.
-
It’s not the fact that Orangefield is wanting to run the Spread or hated the Wing-T (actually Orangefield ran 60% Power I) it’s the fact of the 95% run offense & the predictable passing game. im hoping for a more balanced Offense NOT 95% Air Raid Not Wing T or slot T. is asking for Balance that much of an issue to ole blood Orangefield people ? going .500 over 12 years may get you a “Ton” of Wins but Orangefield is Better than a 500 winning percentage.
