The biggest problem we have in this country presently is not the politicians (they can be voted out in an honest election) it’s the voters that willfully voted for what we have now, either not caring what was fixing to happen or had no clue it was fixing to happen, or simply just couldn’t get past their hurt little feelings. You just can’t do anything about low information voters, sadly.

Hopefully this can get more traction. I can understand the attitude, in the article, of the kindergarten teacher that doesn't want guns around her kids, no one does. But when something like Uvalde happens and guns ARE around the kids in the bad guys hands, what are the options? Personally, I would take comfort in knowing my kids were at a school with trained, armed teachers along with school police.

We'll just have to disagree, I don't see an effective method of stopping these shootings by hopefully spotting signs that you can't legally do anything about. Lots of weird folks running around, not all of them are dangerous. Don't get me wrong, I see where you're coming from and putting something in place is worth a try, but make the schools safer. We do the same thing with our homes, make it harder for bad guys to gain entry and many have a method of dealing with them when they do gain entry.

You can say we are going to focus on mental health issues and I agree with doing that, I also know that a relative will most likely never realize the danger of someone that is showing these signs. Oh, they’re just going through a phase…that method of stopping someone is very fallible. Make the schools safer is #1, everything else is a very distant 2nd.
