  1. Congrats to EC...Sure was a long drive home last night. Brookeland is real young and has a lot of work to do. BucketSitR
  2. Hope to catch the last part of the Spurger game then the Brookeland/Big Sandy game...That's if i can get my wife out of the outlet mall early enough... Hope to meet some of you. BucketSitR
  3. Confirmed about Teresa the interim Head Coach of the Lady Techsters.. See my posting in the Womens college site above.
  4. I will have to do a little checking but i heard that T Spoon is now the acting Head Coach at La Tech.. I think the coach is out with medical reasons.. Congrats to you Teresa.. My wife said that she never played against Teresa in high school... She just got to watch her run past her down the floor...then shake her hand at the end of the game!!!!
  5. I'll weigh in with Brookeland by 5... This game will help the Cats pick up there game for the Playoffs...Should be some good games.. BucketSitR
  6. Goodrich is 9 miles South of Livingston and Legget is 9 miles North of Livingston also on 59. They along with Groveton Centerville ~40 miles and Apple Springs ~20 miles West of Lufkin, Chireno 20 miles East of Nacogdoches and Brookeland 15 miles North of Jasper make up the district. Lots of traveling goin on!!!
  7. Horse race for sure!! Speed, speed, and more speed!!!!!! Score by quarter Redhorse 19 38 51 70 Brookeland 9 29 52 62 Legget ended the night with about 8 from the charity line and Brookeland couldn't buy a bucket with missed 2nd and 3rd shots from the paint.. I didn't help that Redhorse had a guy fire 4 or 5 from the deep "Horse stalls". Reminded me of Johnson from Oklahoma the other night. Man that guy was on fire!!! Looks like it may be splitsville for the remainder of district. We will see as BLand host Goodrich on the 6th. BucketSitR
  8. Well,,, I may not want to touch that one!!!!! Let's just say Super High intensity games,,, and don't have Football to water down the school spirit!!! Been that way for the 15+ yrs i have been following this district. Also when these three are the top dogs in the district and always state ranked year in and year out, they don't like to lose.
  9. I knew that was coming!!! I'll go with the Blue Cats!!! But maybe i'm a homer!!! I hope that both teams and fans can keep all of the BS down and play some ball... Should be a great game though. I'll let you know in the morning! BucketSitR
  10. Brookelland travels to Leggett tonight. Brookeland took the game at home. What will take place tonight could determine the district lead. Brookeland still gets Goodrich at home on Feb 6. After losing in OT in Goodrich. What do you think CATMAN. BucketSitR
  11. I got my personal best this year.. 10 pt that scored 165/163.. East Texas Buck. Out of a company clearcut, "Corn Rowed" 3 years old...Have you heard these things before... And yes i have been passing up young "good deer" for years. I know that the new regulations are tough for some people to get, but talk to some that have been under this restriction for several years and ask them if it makes a difference. You bet it does...
  12. Got a ten point of a lifetime!! Niece got a doe. Now i am working on my son and nephew one...
  13. I hear what you are saying. I am a firm believer in taking a kid. You can always harvest does and a spike for meat. When you let your buck herd get a little more age on them the opportunities for kids becomes greater and is very enjoyable. For some it is a hard pill to swallow, but in the end the rewards are good. And i am not talking about only 150 class trophies, but some real nice deer for anybody. Try to find someone that has been under this rule for a few years and see what they are starting to see. BucketSitR
  14. I am a strong believer in this new rule. I have seen the results on several leases that started this on there own up to 10+ years ago. I could go on and on but i won't at this time.. Would you like to see my latest LPD.. I will post it here first in a day or two... By the way I am staying EAST!
  15. Sorry, i didn't see the post below. BucketSitR
  16. Brookeland came back from being 14 points down at the start of the fourth to win 65 - 64. The Wildcats were flat thru the middle of the game and finally started clicking in the 4th.. Got to want it Wildcats!!!!! Newton, fresh out of football looked athletic and were working the ball around getting the kinks out... They will do well in District.. Good Luck Eagles
  17. Pretty sure i know what station you are talking about.. The problem is this stations signal is not strong enough to reach more that 20 miles north.. So the distant Wildcat fans 2 flashing lights to the north will not be able to pick up the game or garble at best.. Selfish move Mike!!! Go Wildcats, maybe i can pick it up off of a Lufkin station..(60 miles plus!!!) BucketSitR
  18. Heard reports of limits both up north and down south. My cousin had 4 of the best hunts he has had in 20 years while he was on Tealcation from IKE. 10 minute limits. He said one limit took him 30 minutes cause 15 were taken up by his "puppy" getting after his first crippled bird. He wishes he had a video camera. Said he also saw several flights of greenheads one morning. Maybe the action will continue and i can find time to make a hunt.
  19. Rumor has it (OR just my wishful thinking!!) that much of the marsh grassland has been salt water killed so the ducks will stay further North. PS Dear Ducks,,, Please come back to Rayburn!! Teal season has been one of the better ones so far. Good Luck to everyone. BucketSitR
  20. Hwy 96 N is hopping right now. Wife just left Pineland and drove to Brookeland and counted over 300 cars in the 7 miles. It has been flowing like that since noon. Guess i may get in line in the morning but i am going to take the back roads to Center. Last time it took 3.5 hours for the 20 miles of 96 to San Augustine. Everyone take care. BucketSitr
