  1. Oh yeah...Kommunist Kickball! Caught DD kicking one around once, but not worried, I think BH has it zoned and deed restricted out...I hope.
  2. ;) Sorry couldn't resist adding to the fun Select Volleyball is evil ;D
  3. Most of the speed graduated last year (Pattons, Smith etc). Its an overall rebuild year for track, but distance runners should do ok.
  4. Just curious what teams are playing. BH 8th graders will be there.
  5. There will be plenty of seats. Smiley brings about 50 fans, tops. There will be more BH folks there with nothing to do! Good luck Raiders! Watch out for the hook and lateral
  6. We (BH fans) begin to get hard to live with when we lose 1 district game. So, coming to grips with not even making the playoffs is REALLY tough on us! BH has several sophs either starting or playing regularly on Friday nights now. Should be at least two good years ahead...but nobody enjoys a re-building year!
  7. A tough match for the Hill. BH's offense is starting to click, but turnovers could be the difference. I'm going with BH 26-21.
  8. You bet...have two kids running! First and last race of course. Might bring my fishing rod to kill some time Bring mosquito spray and an umbrella. 7:30 checkin 8:30 4a/5a Varsity Boys 9:00 3a&u V Boys 9:30 4a/5a V Girls 10:00 3a&u V Girls 10:30 JV Boys 11:00 JV Girls 11:30 MS Boys 11:45 MS Girls
  9. Thanks. Still impressive times even for 3 mi! Looks like the GT has some great competition all the way to 1A.
  10. Wow...fast race (for the boys), anyone know what the exact distance was? Times seem too low for a full 5k. And how come the top 10 3A and under times were faster than all of the 4a/5a.
  11. Ok, now I'll be a homer...Just look at the Lone Star standings for the last several years, that seems like the best all around gauge of the most sucessful schools!
  12. Interesting post...here's my take. First of all, its foolish to judge a school or a community by a couple of "fans" who like to post on a particular forum. Secondly, any successful programs (like WOS and BH) are going to take the brunt of critisism from jealous posters. With success comes critics!
  13. Dang Friendswood...why ya hatin' on the smallest 4a school in the state? skeeered?
  14. Hmmm...Our schedule (BH) just says "Orangefield" on Sept 1, that may mean Claiborne Park meet, not sure.
  15. Looks like X-C season will begin Sept 1 (Orangefield meet for some). Just wondering who will be the top individuals and teams to look for? Who's coming to the Orangefield meet?
  16. BH Major girls went undefeated to the championship game, but lost to Tyler (who they had put in the losers bracket earlier) to claim runner-up. I believe BH Juniors got 3rd place. Great job to both, especially after moving up to the "big city" classification.
  17. Well, in 100 days we will find out! We always seem to have low expectations coming in, but the kids intensity and spirit, along with very good conditioning and coaching keeps us right in the mix. Lot of personnel questions for sure. I think defense will be tough, but offensively we lost a lot of weapons. Could see Sexton running the ball some!
  18. Good luck Spurger!...check out the prairie dog towns on on the North side of the road on the road from Lubbock to Levelland
  19. Yeah!!!!!...get r done quick. Bad weather coming in.
  20. Thanks so much Crawdad for posting!!!! I wasn't even go to post on this, but Purple, be prepared that a lot of folks will see it differently than you. While the picture quality is not great, when you stop it frame by frame around the 2:58 mark, the Dayton runner is CLEARLY in lane one as he passes and his left foot is almost between the legs of the BH runner. Don't insult everyone's intelligence saying it was obvious there was no foul and BH just dropped the baton, that's juvenile. 'course, you sucked me right in which is what you were going for ;D The fact is that the meet officials didn't see it, couldn't see it or didn't think it merited disqualification. So be it...good luck Dayton, represent the area well!
  21. Come to think of it, I seriously doubt he is even FROM BH. Sounds like an "outsider" trying to get folks riled up...Dayton fans, please keep that in mind.
  22. Good luck to both of these young men, they are both fine athletes. BHEXTREME...take it somewhere else. This thread is to celebrate the success of two student athletes.
  23. I have watched Drew Bean for a couple of years and am extremely impressed with this young man and his work ethic. Wish him all the luck this weekend and in Austin. Funny related story: My son who is a freshman at BH placed 5th in the 3200m in district but found out Monday that he will run at the regional meet since two runners who qualified aren't competing. I asked him what his goal was for the meet and he said "run a personal record and not get lapped by Bean"! ha!
