  1. False start Ozen. 1st and 15 at the 16 yard line. 2nd and 17 from the 17.
  2. Listening to the game Rob, your assessment is on point. One other major contributor was the penalties by Crosby. The personal fouls and false starts/illegal formation hurt Crosby big time. However, the Pirates out-played Crosby in every phase of the game. Great game Pirates.  Best wishes throughout the playoffs.
  3. Crosby committing a lot of penalties. Uuhh ohhh, TD Crosby on a screen play
  4. Vidor recovers the fumbled kick off on the 27.  WOW!!!
  5. I think it would have been about a 30 yard field goal because the ball was on about the 20 yard line, and where they would have had to put the ball down, it would have been about a 35 yard field goal.  Maybe they did not want to take a chance at a blocked field goal and a run back for a TD.  That's just my guess.
  6. Pirates first and 10 from the 17. 2nd and 8 from the 15
  7. Great punt return by Vidor at the Crosby 38, trailing 13 - 7

Lumberton. [/quote] Yeah BMTSoulja1, and if I remember correctly, they were shutout against Lumberton 27 - 0. I have to agree with SFA, Central went away from it's identity, which was smash mouth football on both sides of the ball.  They would pound you, wear you down, which setup the play action, and every now and then they would get you with a pass. I saw it last year.  The first 3 or 4 games they tried the spread, and I'm not sure, but I think it was in the middle of the Ozen game they switched back to the I and started running the ball and had success.  The O-line is not accustomed to blocking for the spread offense.  It's the exact opposite at UT.  All of the years under Vince and Colt they ran the spread. They switched to the I-formation with Gilbert and suffered.  They are transitioning because the linemen are learning how to block for the I-formation or Pro-formation. I guess Coach Washington looked at his peronnel and thought that they were better suited for the spread offense.  However, in most of the games that I saw last year and this year, they were out-coached and looked unprepared versus their opponent. Against Westbrook and P.A. Memorial, they were not ready for the short kickoff, and then they did not execute the short kickoff well and gave each team very good starting field position.  Throw in the penalties, turnovers, and inexperience, and there you have it, a losing season.  Win, lose, or draw, it's on the coaches.  I think that Washington will stay at least one more year.  You have to give the kids credit, considering the coaching carousel at Central over the last 5 to 10 years.
  9. I just hope the Titans don't come out flat. After man-handling them the first time, there is a tendency to come out lackidaisicle and just go through the motions. I hope they come out and put them away early and let some of the 2nd and 3rd teamers, and some of the players moved up from the JV, get a chance to play.
  10. I don't think they will have a problem with motivation. They cannot take Lumberton lightly. They have to come out focused and take care of business.
  11. Collins had picked up a first down but a block below the waist moved the ball back to around the 30.  Collins was injured on the play and the backup QB came in and threw the ball to the endzone and Vidor intercepted the ball at the goal line. and brought it out to about the 20 and took a knee. Well Ozen, the Pirates did their part.  Now it's up to you to do your part.
  12. Vidor intercepts the ball at the goal line. Vidor wins 35 - 27
  13. Hold everything. Livingston first down at the Vidor 37 with a little over 1:26 to play.
  14. WOW.  First down Vidor on the 8 yard line. They can line up in the victory formation with 1:58 to go.
  15. Livingston calls timeout,  It's their last timeout. Vidor 3rd down and 9 at midfield, with 2:18 remaining
  16. Vidor recovers the onside kick with 3:08 remaining.
  17. Touchdown Lions Vidor - 28  Livingston 27 Extra point is blocked by Vidor. WOW!!!
  18. 4th down Pirates.  Lions call timeout with 3:28 remaining in the game. Vidor leading 28 - 21 Punt snapped over the punters head. Livingston takes over at the Pirates 39.  OMG
  19. Lions turn it over on downs. Vidor takes over with over 4 minutes left at their own 42.
