1.
That's Crosby's #2 starter gettin smoked. Is the wind blowing out? Looks like Wiggins might be looking for a new #2 and by the score a #3 and #4 too.
 2. Good luck to Brenham, that team can absolutely rake the ball. Congratulations to Crosby on a great season.  Thank you to all the players and especially the seniors who tended to linger in the dugout for what seemed like an hour before coming out to appreciative fans and parents.  Wasn't many dry eyes in the place.  Someone mentioned a while back about a special group of seniors, from T-Ball to high school it has been fun to watch.
 3. cant wait for this 4 hour trip      one way
 4.

Any Arguments
Yea Mustang i think that the only 19-4-A team that has a chance is Crosby against Vidor, as you well know the Vidor Pirates only have one good eye and Hester cant pitch every game. But after that series Crosby will have thier work cut out for them....Just my two cents! :-\
Maybe he really 'Dont' know Jack'.
 5.

One game at Langham Creek-7:30 pm
Rumor is that Gabby is not 100%. Any truth to that?
Hadn't heard that...I'll look into it.
 6. You would like to set up right over the middle, but the catchers head is in the way, so I would set up just over the catchers shoulder(depending on the batter) with a clear view to the outside corner with my eye level even with the top of the strike zone (again that depends on the batter).  I'm sure other guys do it different....
 7. Rachel hit the double to plate the 6th run.  Both pitchers complete game 7 innings.  Both were good although Gabby was wild in first inning and struggled with control for 4 innings.
 8. someone pulled a bull durham on crosby field-games moved to dayton    same times
 9. The financial excuse seems far-fetched.  The school board throws away money right and left on pet projects and always seem to want another bond election or tax increase every three years or so.  The other sports teams travel farther than you might realize.  Don't hold this against the whole town for the actions of a couple of neanderthal board members.
 10. Sure wish everyone could look at it this way instead of arguing who should have gotten what! Your opinion is not going to change anything and honestly discussing who should have made it instead of recognizing those who did, is a disservice to the entire district.......is it really that hard to show these young men some appreciation for their hard work this season? Let them enjoy the recognition and quit minimizing it with all this negativity! Congratulations to all players recognized.....no matter what team you play for, I am happy for each and everyone of you and I wish you nothing but continued success, on and especially, off the field!
Agreed.
 11.
Wow Jiggs...the internet tough guy.  Feel like a man talking smack to a kid?  You don't have to do that.  I'm grown...why not talk to me?  If you like we could even meet up for a little face time.
I'm a Crosby fan and have never wrote any derogatory words about players or fans.  I take exception to being called stupid.  If he wants to talk it, he should be able to take it.
 12. Yeah..the mighty Broncos put up as big as a fight as North Forest did!  :o
Man i would really love to meet you. and show you a real butt whoopin boy! there is nothing i hate more than crosby. oh yeah there is something... stupid crosby fans.
I would bet that the loss to Crosby in your senior season really sticks in your craw, boy.  Judy had the better year anyway and by the way you talk on this forum, you should respect your elders if not your betters.
 13.

Crosby fans make me laugh. What a bunch of goobers.
just recently a coog fan. Been in south east texas all my life. I have never really disliked Dayton fans until this year.. never understood what all the hype was....now experiencing they first hand....... I can truly understand why people think yall are conceded....... Even after getting you a$$ whipped you still think you are better..... All you can say is to bring up previous years scores.... and call names.....Classless yall are!!!!!!
Hallelujah, you have come to the light!!  Rejoice in your new-found wisdom.  You would be amazed on how deep this goes. Ever seen Invasion of the body snatchers? The last few pages have nothing to do with the subject of the post.  Guess nobody wants to go there anymore.
 14.
Hard to believe this....IMO, individual awards are a bonus to a fine season that a TEAM accomplishes, especially All district/All State/All American honors...if you beat Dayton 28-0, great for your TEAM, but look at what Dayton accomplished in their season...their accomplishment as a TEAM resulted in more individual recognition....you'd have to have a SUPERSTAR to be recognized(with out a big TEAM accomplishment), maybe the voters didn't feel that a "Superstar" existed, or maybe the head coach just didn't throw up any names ....may want to ask the source first. ;D
What I have learned in the past 24 hours cannot be posted on this forum.  It does nobody any good.
 15. Wow, what a great article.  I'll think I'll go puke and cancel my subscription.  Or use the old magazines the same as I use the Chronicle or the Baytown Sun, as outhouse paper at the deer lease.
 16. I figured this would turn into rehashment of a game that happened close to two months ago.  What say we get back on subject, Crosby got screwed and everybody knows it.  Back in the deep dark recesses of your mind, if you're in it for the kids, you know it.
 17. I wasn't talking about one game, but if you want to go there, fine Crosby-28 dayton-0.  Bottom line is Crosby was the better team that night.  End of story.  You say Crosby hasn't fielded any good teams in the past decade; you really show your ignorance. The end of season picks are not what happened in the past two, three or 10 years, they're what happened in the past year.  I've stated my case and what I have said is not a lie and is not inaccurate in any way. What I wonder is, since this a first post under that user name, are you really a long time poster and created a new name so you won't show your on-line buddies your true colors?
 18. Let me preface that I do not agree with the selections, but I wasn't at all surprised.  Throughout this blog all year Crosby has received very little respect and now it seems that same amount of respect is shared by the coaches in this district.  You say Ploch is deserving and I do not dispute that, but is he any more deserving than Merka?  I think not.  My guess is Ploch is a senior and that is the reason he got MVP.  Merka may get it next year, but what if Crosby don't win district or he pulls a hamstring and is out 2 months, would he be deserving?  Merka was the QB of the district champs and should be rewarded.  Putting Viverette also ahead of Merka is just wrong; guess it's a senior thing again. Flanigan said he had the best defensive player in the district, I agree. Dylan Judy made offensive lines change their blocking schemes, sending o-linemen out to block him.  And still he fought off those blocks to make plays time and time again.  He would be my defensive MVP as the leader of the defense of the district champs.  I also think Michael Mangum had a heck of a year as the right tackle, but he received no mention.  He was missed in the Dawson game. I am officially giving Crosby the respect they deserve.  Congratulations Crosby on an outstanding season that will be remembered by those kids (and by the parents).  At least the coaching staff was acknowledged for the bang-up job they did all year.  Bring on baseball.
 19. Crosby should have the offensive and defensive MVP for the district and you know the names.
 20. O-line is big, protects well and opens up big holes for #28 & QB.  They bring in the big back on short yardage.  Defense is fast and active, pursues and tackles very well.  Corners mainly play man to man; physical off the line.  If the running game is working, play action could open up some things. When Travis breaks down the game film, they need to find a way to stop Dawson, if only a couple of times.  Crosby couldn't.  Wish the game was on TV, it should be good.
