With the blocked shot happening before the contact, unless the contact is intentional or flagrant, the contact is incidental thus ignored.

That's the biggest point of all at the end. As in this Silsbee play, Lead official should NEVER rule on goaltending/basket interference from behind the backboard.

Guys, I must insert myself into this discussion about the ball hitting the backboard. It looks like it did in the video....but it makes no difference whether it did or didn't hit backboard. The only criteria for goaltending is if the ball is on its downward flight ONLY. You guys are citing an NBA rule but NCAA & HS it is not. My 2 cents.
