What is PNG holding him back from exactly? You obviously have not looked at the PNG roster. They have had 9 sophomores playing significant roles this year, with three of the offensive lineman being sophomores. The starting center got injured last offensive play against Nederland and was lost for the playoffs. They lost in the third frikin round of the playoffs! Last time I checked 11-2 making it to the third round is not a bad year! You guys are talking about 15-18 year old boys like they are in the college and the NFL! Roschon has childhood friends he is playing with! He is playing in front of one of the largest High School fan bases in the nation every Friday night a place that is rich in tradition! Only two teams a year can win a state championship in the 5A rank! It takes an overall special group of kids to win one!

Winning. Specifically when it matters, like in the playoffs when you are not playing teams  called Lee, Livingston, Central, Ozen, Lumberton, Sterling, offenses like Vidor. Beating up on those teams only puts you in a race for Dc but yall are happy with that

I'm not mad at all chief, and I have zero connection to PNG. I do however find it quite comical that a derelict like yourself would come on a message board and ramble complete nonsense. Suggesting that a player of his caliber whose been one of the most prolific QB's in the state during his time as signal caller would even consider transferring is absurd. Come on homie can you not think of something relevant to start a thread on?

I think you used the wrong word jack since u used it as a noun, But that is neither here nor there.

Because he is so prolific, he should go somewhere he can actually win and not blow his legs out in the process. U old pots get so upset by a different opinion. I started this topic to get reactions and thoughts.... looks like i got plenty lol.

Listen, im not that bad a guy lol got pretty blonde hair like my mom lol. Love beer.

      Derelict. How dare you?!

Is this really a topic?? Unbelievable! You folks are some of the most shallow, ungrateful, pathetic excuses of fair weather fans ever! I say fair weather under my breath because the Indians just went freaking 11-2! I mean this could very well be the most asinine topic in the history of this site. Get a life chief!

I'm not a png fan. You should apoligize to them lol. That was mean. You are entitled to your opinion Like I am mine. I think png holds him back and he should leave if he can. You and others think otherwise. You know what that's fine. It's America.

Transferring in Texas isn’t as simple as transferring in Louisiana. It’s not an apples to apples comparison.  Louisiana public school system is complete garbage, especially in the greater NO area. This is no secret. That’s why your private John Curtis High can go out and “pick from the litter”, offer a scholarship, and basically buy a state title. Doesn’t work like that in Texas. My dad went to Rumnmel, I’m well aware of how things work in that area.

Rummel has a very respectable program. Our school system has come a long way. We lost everything and lots of teachers left. It happens. Thanks for info though. Your such a bitter betty lol

the greater NO area has some awesome schools as well. 7 out the top 10 LA schools are in NO or near it and are ranked nationally as some as the best in the nation. Come at me bro! We boss up on education. Do not let the news fool you. Yeah we had our issues but the teachers there deal with stuff yall don't see everyday and still manage to teach and mold young men and women. Its one of the reasons New Orleans is the doctor/pharmacy capital of the SOUTH. With Tulane and Xavier University.

    Probably the dumbest post ever.

Thats very easy to say when its not your kid with 50 touches a game. He probably would never say it aloud, but I bet money Mr. Johnson, his Dad, doesn't appreciate his kid getting ran into the ground because the coaches get brain farts in MCM, the other team has a decent defense, or because they can't tackle a bag of feathers.

No one replied when I said that PN-G cupboard is running dry on athletes and playmakers with the SRs graduating. Those rbs might have had 700 yards on the season between them. No one is gameplanning for them.  None of the newer recievers have the speed that Hughes and Riggs had and this offense with Roschon was predicated on the deep play action pass. One does not simply throw deep passes to slow receivers.

Hughes, Riggs, and Johnson are the sprinters on the track team from what I hear.  Where is that speed going to come from?

Might as well put a saddle on his back because he is about to carry this whole team next year. Might just have to throw the ball to himself. lol Its sad to hear and it hurts your butt but its true.

Is it possible for him to graduate early next year (Dec) from PNG and head to UT in the spring? If not he could probably transfer to one of several academies, graduate in Dec, and then head to UT in the spring for spring practice and begin competing. That’s the only way I️ see him not playing at PNG next year.

He is graduating in DEC from what i hear

PNG wasn't "Dayton" before Shug and won't be Dayton after Shug.

Folks forget, Doty-Harmon, Doty-Bertrand, Miller-Bertrand, Morse-Halfin all before Shug. Shug is the first real dual threat at PNG, but those forementioned combos along with WR's like, Deron, Jalali, Nelson, Rose, Sparks, Giblin, Sullivan, Mczeal and now Riggs. BF helped make all of those young men successful as HS players.

PNG needs DLine help, plain and simple.

YAWN! Only one or two teams have made it to the Regional round with all the people you named, SINCE 2003. They have been there twice since he got there. Unless you are satisfied with bi district wins and area losses.

IF HE WANTED TO DO SO, I don't know that there would be a single school that would turn down a chance to have Roschon on their team.

But why would a quarterback, who has gotten just about anything that he wanted, including the chance to play for the college of his dreams want to leave the school that has afforded him that chance.  To leave for a school in a town that he has never set foot in?

This is ridiculous and if I were Roschon I would be offended at the implication that my pool of values is that shallow.

    Good post!

I don't think it means he is shallow at all. I look at it this way, I coached and played at Curtis in River Ridge, LA. We have won 25 state rings. I have alot of kids transfer in and out for several reasons. It's probably not as common for small town teams.

I also look at it like this, if a kid can WIN AND lessen his workload, why not. Noah Cain, the #1 2019 running back for Denton Guyer did just that this year and went to IMG. That kid's not shallow. He is a great kid,

You are acting like he owes PN-G something. You say they gave him a chance. Well duh, any school with a brain would have started the kid. The results would be the same at every school in this area outside of Memorial because Harrison probably would've started his kid last year lol. HE OWES THEM NOTHING. He gives his all on the field and in the classroom and its ALL THEY DESERVE. If he wants to WIN and preserve himself, its the move.

If not, may the football gods protect him from injury.

This is all just talk guys.  Its a beer conversation at the barbershop. You get way too offended.

  9. A few buddies and I were talking at the game and I thought it might be a good idea. PNG has nothing and the barrel will get emptier next year without Riggs, Hughes, and #7. He does everything now and next year if you think you saw a work load, dadgummit watch out. They might kill him over there. I hate to see him waste another year there and increase his injury chances.

WOS is the obvious best place. Then Pam. What y'all think?

Oh i forgot there is always the private schools. Legacy?

Surely this is a joke....Nothing said on this message board will factor into Friday night. The skinny is this, there's no quick fix for the D........The Injuns will go as far as Shug will take them. With that said,Go Injuns , and Dogs!!!!!!!

Precisely. Four years at varsity, 10 years as an assistant/position coach and I never heard of my coaches and later my coworkers getting tipped from a durn message board. Coach's WOULDN'T HAVE A JOB if WE LISTENED TO PARENTS/FANS/ALUMNI.

I figured I would tell you how we might adjust to your team in order to beat you. Maybe I can give you numbers of the players to help you out even more.....

So you have got my point by now..... Shut up folks........... Trust me you are not the only one in town that might have knowledge, but putting it on here gives everyone that knowledge.....

i think you trippin. Everyone KNEW this would happen. They seemed to be waiting to get beat the hell out of to do it. It seems it took 69 points, and not Jones and Fernandez picking them apart to figure it out. My old staff members at Curtis, in River Ridge LA would have long made those adjustments. Its why we have multiple rings. 25 to be exact.

Other than Roschon moving over to D full time, a few subs on D is not giving out information. You guys have the worst defense maybe in the state and everyone knows it now after the Crosby game. Roschon would be the ONLY guy that could make large difference and shift game planning as far as difference. Send anyone else out there and I'm trying him just like everyone else has tried it. With Hughes over there, the D might just be a cold bag of trash and not hot steaming garbage.

You people on here kill me. Too high strung for such average programs.

Don’t care about point differential. Line PNG and PAM against each other 10 times and PAM wins 7-8 times if not more. Like I said before, I think all of PN knows who the better team is. Doesn’t matter how you cut the onion it’s still gonna make you cry!!!

They have played twice in two years and it's 1-1. Like I said in the other thread I've played and coached for state winning Louisiana teams, neither Pam or png are that level. So you trying to act like your so much better isnt nothing but talk to me. For all of pams athletic advantages they lost. That's unacceptable and totally their own fault. I played with some monsters and against some monsters and while I think the Defense is good, that Pam team doesn't have that killer instinct and that's why they couldn't put em away.

And what's with y'all trying to take our New Orleans culture with the umbrellas and second line music lol? If I was still coaching I would do all I can to make a matchup between you guys and my old squad, beat ya for being disrespectful and show you some REAL BANDS!!

....probably like Elia would not be in games in the 4th quarter running and taking hits in football games in garbage at PN-G.  :)

I'm an outsider who has paid close attention this year. Jaiden Howard from Crosby may be a more comparable option than Johnson is. I may take Howard over elia. You can say what you want about Johnson being late in games but FACT is he barely does anything but hand off. He essentially is there to decoy and snap the ball. My coach would've ran the score up even more, then Johnson could've had his 8 to pass game or whatever. As bad as that png defense is, they haven't had a game where the offense had to put up 70 points. I played for a state championship LA team, worked as a coach, have buddies in the NFL and have seen greatness in a player before and Johnson has it. To me it's obvious. Elia is very good and will make a coach in the future very happy.

Bigbro get get that kid to LSU!!!

  14. Gambit-Don't know who you are don't care who you are

Stand or fall we do it as Sabine Pass Basketball Team.

There is an old saying a team is only as good as there worst player

My Teammate-You are to busy worrying and pointing fingers at who wrote this post that your forgetting we have 5 other teams in our District waiting to tear us apart when they get the chance. Pick each other up not push each other down, Because im Darn sure no team will help us beat them

In the end we only have each other

Good sign or bad we are still 4-1 ;D

Does it really matter what anyone thinks about us???? We are winning ball games and are now tied for first in district. Anyone can talk noise but in the end we are winning and have BEEN winning so why not stick with what works.
