  1. One team settling for 3s the other attacking the basket.
  2. A lot of 3s early on. Went man to man and bridge city really struggled to get open looks after that.
  3. Didn't Argyle make it to the state semifinals in the last few years winning games in the mid-40s? As stated multiple times in this thread neither team shot the ball well, but a lot had to do with the pace of the game where there were multiple possessions that lasted over 45 seconds without a shot taken.
  4. I assume you are taking into the account that one team went into a stall in the middle of the 3rd quarter?
  5. I just rewatched it; it looked to me that #5 was holding someone else back, but I could be wrong.
  6. Watching the youtube link. Looked like a tie-up between two players and they were fighting over the ball as the buzzer went off. The winning teams students section stormed the court then the camera turned away couldn't see anything else after that, but plenty of people were being held back so makes sense.
  7. From a playoff perspective obviously this is huge for Lumberton because they don't have to face Yates in the second round. A first round game against a completely healthy HF team should be a great game though.
  8. Houston Baptist is where he started I think he ended up transferring though.
  9. Prudhomme has an argument I would think. Saladin was a two time all state player that averaged over 20 in his junior and senior year probably not a better player overall, but still in the argument. Also, I have no interest in arguing why Parquet isn't a Hawk I assumed growing up in the district and starting for two seasons would be enough, but okay.
  10. Parquet a current starter on a Pac-12 team? That was only 5 years ago he was at HJ and he graduated in 2018. McClure is a really good player that scraps to get tons of rebounds and is an excellent free throw shooter if tonight is a consistent thing for him. With this being said you would think with McClure's clear dominance it would have led to Lumberton beating HJ one of these last two years.
  11. I will take HJ rather convincingly tomorrow, and for the district.
  12. I guess we will have to see but I think HJ will be the favorites barring injury. I find it funny that HF takes 4th place (due to a last second put back to get them into a play-in game) one time and everyone on here is ready to knight them the Kings of Southeast Texas. I mean at least their 3 wins this seasons have been soooooo impressive *insert eye roll*.
  13. Hawks play Lumberton on the 30th of December. Then play HF twice in district I got HJ going 3-0 in those games. They will figure it out; if I had to guess they are a program that will peak at the right times this year. A lot of talent in the team; they have to figure out rotations and minutes which takes time.
