I only assume because the coach that's currently there that has head coaching experience would be a good fit but the thing I would like to see is bring in a new coach with absolutely no ties whatsoever then see how this season plays out then bring your own set of guys in and build off of that although it will be hard with the talent pool being dry and whatnot.

20 plus applicants and interviews are Monday and Tuesday. Unless you think they are interviewing for an interim, I would assume they hire this week.

Most likely imo it will be the interm play here but since their are keen interests from other coaches in other places we would most likely know by the end of next week or week after before 2 a days start.

Marlin has been similar to hearne for a while they are usually loaded with athletes both schools usually top ranked in basketball year in and out but on the football field have struggled to play defense and special teams and lacked sync.

Yeah they were young from what I’ve heard , I know they were doing pretty good at a time , unless I’m mistaken them for another team with an M 🤣 shoot I could’ve been thinking about Mason or something brother …. lol

Marlin was way down last year I think they went 2-8 or 1-9 but could have just been young I don’t know much about them. Outside of them and hearne im unfamiliar with everyone in that district should be interesting and Crockett, madisonville, college station would all be on the table everyone in our district and in 13 is due west of us!

Shoot we know hearne all too well , don’t know what they return from last season .. but when we played them in district last year , they just seemed like a team to me that didn’t quite have it figured out yet … the athletes were out there for sure! But just seemed like they wasn’t getting in sync together … and marlin and moody will be the top 2! They always seem to be every year .. with thorndale right behind them … I could see a possible first round matchup being in Crockett for us ! If everything works out like I predict it will …
