That's the start of the holiday week unless they're on a different or weird school calendar.  Otherwise grades would only play a part starting the week after Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is no longer part of the holiday exemption. It only includes Christmas and Spring Break.

That is correct for that district. If you are off or on holiday for a calender week, you can be eligible during that time. Not all school districts take a full week off for Thanksgiving.

LCISD, Terry's district, is only out of school Wed- Fri of that week and therefore not included in the exemption.

Terry got their behind whipped by Angleton while GCM is fired up coming off a win. On a neutral field I like the team with the momentum from the last game, Terry does have a couple of A&M commits that can change the game though. I'll take GCM behind about 200 from Grandberry, possibly setting up a third round matchup with Crosby at Stallworth.

Impressive

Several things:

1. I'm pretty sure grade check at the three weeks is a regain eligibility only. Also, grades cut off on Friday's and apply to the following week.  Unless there is some specific district policy in addition to UIL.

2. I think GCM can beat Terry, but they will need a great defensive performance. As I'm sure you know, Friendswood narrowly beat Terry early in the season, but Terry put up some big numbers and were a dropped two point conversion away from tying the game late.

3. GCM's defense held Friendswood to one of their lowest point totals of the season, so their Defense is capable of playing well.  Terry can score from anywhere, but makes mistakes if on the field too long.

Wow.  HISD must be worse than normal.
North Forest scored 54+ points in all but one game.  In that game they beat Sharpstown 43-0.
Held opponents to 7 or less in all but the game last night in which they won 81-14.
Hard to judge though, as they all just seem to play each other.

Danbury beat Jones the same way that NF did.  Then Danbury got beat like a red-headed stepchild by Hitchcock.
I would guess that North Forest, in truth, is somewhere between a Kingwood Park and a Baytown Lee.
