PNG can't stand Nederland having a good year when they are down.. I don't want to see an purple on our side during the playoffs. Stay home and maybe read a book on how to lose with dignity. You know just like everyone else does that Nederland can beat any team in 19-4A if they don't play sloppy. Last night was very sloppy for Nederland and yet we still put up 37 points and crammed the ball down your throat all night when you had 8 or 9 guys in the box. I'd love to see run/pass ratio because I can promise you, had Nederland gone to Kimler more down the field, it would've been a lot worse. He had a foot height advantage over that DB.. But we didn't have to. Our O-line imposed its will against the Png defense..

Good Lord people, we got beat by the better team last night. Take away the mistakes, I still think we would have lost. Is what it is. What I witnessed last night was the 2012 Indians. Mistakes, and by mistakes I mean ave 3 turnovers a game, all year have made the scores worse. First time I have seen the snapping go to crap though. But, I think we did better last night than in most games. I hope we win another game, but doesn't look good. I will be there cheering them on though. I hope Nederland goes to State. If PN-G can't go I will be pushing for the Dogs all the way. As far as Summer Creek, I think the dogs can take them. Defensive front would do good against that running back.

+1... At least one person that's not a hater. I guess we should've won by 50 and then maybe we would have a decent team.. But winning by 25 points is just garbage at MCM. The Dogs are terrible... I don't know how theyve even won a game...

It sounds like some of you think that the records of the teams should decide what margin the score should be. That is plainly silly especially for the Nederland/PNG game.  All week all you could hear was (throw the records out for this game because it is a rivalry game). And rivalry game does not even give justice to MCM. If you think the level of intensity PNG had with Summer Creek was the same as with Nederland then you don't know a thing about the Nederland PN-G game history.  I'm a bulldog fan and I never for a minute thought we would beat you guys by a really lopsided score, the reason is those young men (both sides) have way too much pride, some of the folks on this thread find it easier to say well the bulldogs are not as good as their ranking because we did'nt score enough. Maybe you guys should openly give some credit to your Indians for battling the dogs hard. I havn't heard much of that.

I agree Knoddy, they played hard. For all those PNG fans that keep talking about there center going bad last night, you don't think for one minuet that having Brock Pryor at 275 and Caleb Malveaux at 300 across the line from you might have just a little bit to do with the bad snaps?

Or the fact that they switched a G to C from last week. Great game by the Bulldogs. Defense is feisty and offense can bring it when they need to. Better team won last night. Nederland will represent 20-4A well and everybody in our district will be backing them i'm sure.

As a PNG fan I am so embarrassed seeing all these comments downing Nederland. SMH. Sorry to tell everyone the better team one and there is not a person at that game that can deny it. Let never have the lime light because those boys deserve it. You all know that if hell froze over and PNG would have won last night that every single PNG fan on this board would have been on here running their mouths. Please just stop and congratulate the Bulldogs on the win and move on.  Good Luck in the playoffs Nederland this Indian will be pulling for you.

That would not make your day a lot better! Tough enough to make that switch any time but the week of MCM would make it even worse.

Like I stated in my post yesterday and last night after the game, Nederland has a great team. The better team won last night. PNG needs alot of work, and hope they can build something for next year. I will be at all the Nederland playoff game supporting the dogs. And to some of my fellow NDN posters who gives a dang who has morn fans. The real fans is all that count, not the mass. Stop with the excuse, we got our butts handed to us....End of story!!!!

Cheermom and PinoNDN, thanks for two great posts. We Ned faithful, save a few, appreciate the character it takes to work through defeat and give congrats to the victor. Our boys have worked very hard to be where they are and deserve to be recognized.

Will PNG make the playoffs this year?
[/quote]Funny thing is that there is still an outside chance should we win out the rest of the games. Now here in the real world. Vidor next week....yikes!!! But, like they always say crazier things have happened ??? To be honest if we keep turning the ball over we just won't win...plain and simple....Again, I am for the Dogs to go the remainder of the way undefeated. If they do, does anyone know if they would go big school after district?

    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
    • See why I don't trust my Hogs?
    • Come on dude, don’t take anything away from the kids on the field. If you want to talk uncharacteristic, we made what 3 or 4 errors in game one. Y’all had 2 EARNED runs.  Defense is normally our strong suit. Your ace didn’t strike out a single one of our kids. Like I said also, you did not out hit us in game 1. Hell you barley out hit us in game 2. We had all the uncharacteristic walks. Josh pitched a hell of a game is what made that game what it was.
