1.
Who cares where they are from. I don't watch Texas or A&M because of how many SETX boys are on the roster. I watch because they have good programs. Who ever started this thread got their feelings hurt or something. If Lamar was undefeated last season no one would not care if every player was from tim-buc-to.  The fact is SETX is well represented, but  we do not compete well yet in the Southland Conference. This is essentially a new program, so give it a rest. They have done well so far and should continue to improve. The program should be evaluated on wins and loses, not how many local boys are on the team.
Boom.
Simple! Join the homeschool association. Your or me could get our kids there to practice. But, you will find many of thee kids have been held back to hone their skills.
Which is sad by the way... Is legal cheating a word...lol..where is the value of education over sports...some of these so called  parents..are allowing their children to be pimped...
When PNG played HCYA i actually had the privilege to speak with one of the teachers/instructors for the HCYA boys. I sort of made a remark referring to the possibility of the kids getting to practice 24/7 without knowing who was around me! We then had a very great conversation about their program. She explained that they are very much so education based and basketball is secondary if that. She said that they only have two practices a week for only two hours each. She said that they would work on shooting and other skills on their own. The practices involved team strategy. She made if VERY clear that basketball is not even close to first in their program.
 3. I attended this game and wow! I sat on the El Campo side and i was really impressed by their school spirit. I've seen their track record through the years on paper, so i was excited to be able to actually see them play. I wasn't disappointed!
 4. Go for it on 4th down way inside your own territory. Jedi mind tricks?

I don't even want to read 4A playoff threads for fear of the SC folk talking about themselves to the point of idiocy. And i thought we (PNG) were bad.
Fans are supporters of THEIR team.  The intensity for each fan may vary, and in the end, we all are little fanatical about our teams.  And that's okay if the support is not detrimental (in a violent/abusive way) to anyone, including sometimes the players, coaches, staff of the team that they are fans of. And I do believe PNG fans are some of the best fans overall.  SC has new traditions to start and a history to make.  The SC team has had  a successful season and all the talking that matters in on the field, really for any team.
Great post. SC is doing great and i suppose we get to experience the growing pains in every thread. That's all i was saying. I look forward to reading about the teams that are matched up, then a SC fan turns the post into a discussion between SC and one of the teams involved. With that said, SC has a great team. I had the pleasure of watching them twice.
Gotcha.  Last year we got to PNG's stadium at least 30 mins early and it was already almost full on the visiting side, we were all shoulder to shoulder with people standing.
That's how us Indian fans feel every time we go to a home or away game...but we get there at least an hour before.  ;D
 8. Flag happy refs. Both sides were affected. Vidor got the win regardless and would've gotten the win even if the refs were completely against them. They were that good on defense. Mitchell was running for his life the whole time. Vidor fans, don't get too greedy.  ;D

It sounds like some of you think that the records of the teams should decide what margin the score should be. That is plainly silly especially for the Nederland/PNG game.  All week all you could hear was (throw the records out for this game because it is a rivalry game). And rivalry game does not even give justice to MCM. If you think the level of intensity PNG had with Summer Creek was the same as with Nederland then you don't know a thing about the Nederland PN-G game history.  I'm a bulldog fan and I never for a minute thought we would beat you guys by a really lopsided score, the reason is those young men (both sides) have way too much pride, some of the folks on this thread find it easier to say well the bulldogs are not as good as their ranking because we did'nt score enough. Maybe you guys should openly give some credit to your Indians for battling the dogs hard. I havn't heard much of that.
I agree Knoddy, they played hard. For all those PNG fans that keep talking about there center going bad last night, you don't think for one minuet that having Brock Pryor at 275 and Caleb Malveaux at 300 across the line from you might have just a little bit to do with the bad snaps?
Or the fact that they switched a G to C from last week. Great game by the Bulldogs. Defense is feisty and offense can bring it when they need to. Better team won last night. Nederland will represent 20-4A well and everybody in our district will be backing them i'm sure.
