(Jamiere) Rogers a Defensive Stopper for Nederland

Recommended Posts

Good to see that Jamiere is getting the recognition he deserves. Every night, he gets the job that Josh Wagner had the past two seasons for Nederland; the responsibility of covering the other team's best offensive player.

It's really something seeing this kid at work.  When you look at the starting linups being announced, and you see that Rogers is the shortest kid in the starting linup, you automatically think that you should have your way with him with whoever he is defending.  He is scrappy and is surprisingly athletic tp keep up with the K. Smiths, Trey Greens, and the Collins (livingston kid).  He should be a nominee for defensive player of the year, no doubt.

Nederland's starting line up is 6'5, 6'4, 6'2, 6'2, yet the 5'10" Rogers starts every game at center court jumping for the 'Tip Off'.
