I like prewitt at qb. I just don't care for the oc throwing him to the dogs.  Throw the ball and keep your qb from running the ball so much so he will last the game, especially when your number 1 and 2 qb or out and you may not have a qb to replace him.

this is a good article on Prewitt and the total beating he took.

and y'all cant even give him kudos without bringing the other qbs into it

I wouldnt wish the beating Doug took on Saturday night to Bevil, JJ , or dang near any qb.

congrats to Doug on what appeared to be Ray throwing him to the wolves...

He might be slower, but he wasnt watching the game......he was playing.  The FASTER QB's looked slow, standing on the sideline.

Obviously, it was a wild guess on the prior poster part. Prewitt is faster but Bevil may be a touch quicker.

YES A BIG DIFFERENCE. Why was the quarterback sacked so many times. The other two would have ran for daylight and gained yardage, obviously if the new kid is faster than Bevil, maybe Bevil is a little quicker and to avoid the pass rush AND get rid of the ball quicker. Or some quarterbacks see the play developing faster than others.

Sorry, I watched Johnson get sacked three times against Northwestern and SFA has a much better defense and Johnson runs a 4.3. I think you are making too much of a generalization here. Were you at the game? Prewitt had less than three seconds on several occasions to make a decison to throw a possible pick or eat the ball. The WR's were double covered as SFA was mainly in cover 2. He made positive yardage on several plays but sacks are taken from the rushing total in college.

BTW, I'm from Orange and watched Bevil in HS and obviously with Johnson's natural skill set I was hoping for more playing time for him.

However, Prewitt showed me he has a lot of heart because a lot of players in the same positon would not have finished the game.

[/quote]were you watching the game dude? he had NO time. and he can obviously get away from the pass rush as shown in the game against SHSU or did you not watch that game either? This was the worst the blocking has been all season no doubt.

That isn't going to be a popular decision. If we lose to Nicholls State who is winless in conference and 1-8 on the season with their only win against Evangel University there are going to be some unhappy Prewitt fan's.

    • I will never understand why someone cares what decisions a family makes regarding their own child? Maybe Joe Burrow learns great life lessons from burning up all his eligibility sitting behind Justin Fields at Ohio State but I’m sure him and his family feel like they made the right decision by transferring to LSU, becoming the #1 pick and now being the highest paid QB in NFL history. Same for Kyler Murray, Baker Mayfield and Jalen Hurts at their first stops.    I think it was more beneficial for Reggie Branch to transfer to Crosby and end up having an opportunity to play for a state title versus staying at GCM and learning life lessons while he loses and probably doesn’t go D1 because his team is a perennial loser. If Robinson throws for 2k yards this year it’s going to be a lot better for his recruitment purposes than sitting on the bench at BH, not to mention he’s going to get significant looks because of the kids he’s on the team with and the offers/commitments they’ve already made. He’s not being taught to run from competition, he’s being taught to gamble on himself just like all those other guys I mentioned did.
    • You have found Utopia. I live in the real world.
    • Every Yuppie wants one.  Give me a V-8 with loud pipes, and they can have their electric vehicles.  Was working a major incident one day and we had a road blocked off.  Police vehicles with lights going and a kid pulls up in a Tesla.  He - let me stress that HE is sobbing uncontrollably because he is at 5% battery life and HAS to go down the road we have blocked to get to a charging station.  He pulled over and literally threw a temper tantrum because we would not let him through.
    • Have you noticed that it's always the libs that bring up race?  For a long time now whenever a lib is losing an argument or have nothing else to say they bring up racism.  Or something silly like institutional racism.  LOL!
    • Ha!  Whatever that means!
