They do cover alot of high school sports but they miss out on some high school athletes.  We have a gymnast in the area who has competed level 9 for to years and has gone to Westerns competition and has metaled those two times.  Where was the Beaumont papers?  The coach called for some pub. for the girl and none of the area television or papers covered even when the coach was begging for someone to cover.  This is a sad state of affaires for this area. The gymnast is a level 10 now and completed her first meet this past weekend and finished first, even beating another girl getting a full ride to a college.

I sure hope we can keep coach Knight here.  He is one of the best up and coming coaches in basketball at the Div. 1 level.  Tech lost a good one and Lamar thanks them. ;D

Depends on if they are hitting their 3 point shots.  Missed all of them against Ohio St. but made them at Rice. :)

If they would have made some of their 3 point shots then the game would have been alot closer.  They had times when they looked good but other times they were out of control.  Too many turnovers also.

That was by far the best game in the Montane center since the Pat Foster days.  I see great things for this team.  There is still some work to be done but I see a lot of improvements in their play from last year.  It is time that the fans come back.  The product on the court is excellent and they are only going to get better.  I think this was the best hire for Lamar and I congradulate the team and their coaches.

Looks like good signings. :D

I like prewitt at qb. I just don't care for the oc throwing him to the dogs.  Throw the ball and keep your qb from running the ball so much so he will last the game, especially when your number 1 and 2 qb or out and you may not have a qb to replace him.

Bevil had a good game. I am just glad we have football back.  We will have our ups and downs but we will improve as the time (years) go by.  The team is not bad. They need a little more beef on the defensive line but they did a decent job.  In time coach will have a good team that we will be proud of.  I for one am proud of these guys.  They work their tails off and want to win.  Give them a break.  They will make us proud.

They just need to learn to tackle.  Too many times I watched the other team score or get a first down because our defense can not make the tackle.  As far as running up the score, I don't think that was the case or else the first team would have been in the game.

I still believe in them.  They will improve.  They have to learn to tackle though.

LAMAR BY 3

Lamar by 3  ;D

My wife, daughter, son, brother and his wife and I were there.  We were also at the last football game at home when they cancelled the football program.  Wouldn't miss it for the world.  I is a fun time win or lose. :D

Also today is her birthday.  She is 17.. :)

Her last name is McClelland and yes that was the Westerns National Meet.  She is now training level 10 and hopes to compete that level next year.  She is looking at maybe competing in college.  Gymnastics takes a lot of time and effort and she loves the sport.

My daughter just completed compitition in gymnastics in San Deigo, Calif..  Level 9 Westerns which is the 25 states on the west side of the US.  It is a pretty big deal in the gymnastics world.  Being from Beaumont I assumed that the news media would cover her accomplishments in the sport but not a word was mentioned even when the coach called the media for coverage.  What a sad state of sports news this area has.  She had 2 medals, one on floor (2nd) and the other on vault (3rd).  Out of 48 girls she was 23, which isn't too shabby.  Her name is Emily and she competes of Beaumont Gymnastics Accademy.

I think this team is finding it's self again and will win 3 of the 4 and has a chance to winning all 4.
