WO-S 7th A vs BC 7th A was a GREAT junior high game.

Very enjoyable all the way around. Each group has a really bright future because there are some talented young players on both sides. Bridge City was big and physical while WO-S was very impressive with the sophisticated offense that they run at such a young age. Nice job by all these young men.

WOS 8th 32, Silsbee 22. Great game, back and forth until late in the game.
So HF 8th grade will go undefeated in district

The Stallions played great and have improved every game this year. Silsbee has talent and are a good team... Don't count our win as a win for HF, Silsbee is more than capable of beating HF. Especially, if they find a way to contain King.

8th grade A-team    Central - 0    vs  C.O.Wilson - 56

Proud of the Central Canines for playing hard this year , all the way down to the last play, you bays have had a long hard road but you can hold your head up high because you never quit no matter what the score was. Dissappointed to see the things I saw from some of the C.O. players.  No matter if your winning or loosing, why would you knee an player in the head 3-4 times after he was down as well as call him , what i consider downright horrible names. It got so bad that one of the coaches ejected his own player.
And NO this is not about ahhh your kid got beat, this team does not have very many wins over the last two years. It's about playing with respect and integrity.
Something some of the players from C.O. are lacking.

Don’t categorize some CO players like there are more than 1 or 2. It was one player from CO and there was a player from central. The player from Central pulled the player from CO helmet off. From what I heard there was trash talking and some other stuff going on, but it was handled.

I think the kids from CO play with integrity and respect. We did not have any issues all year until that game. I just think players from each team know each other and know how to push each other’s button.

Saying all that, I look forward to seeing them come together as Bulldogs next year. I believe the mix of talent will make for a very competitive team.

I was at all 3 games and thought both teams played well. As for CO not having integrity, I believe that is a bunch of BS! Anytime 2 teams that play each other that are that familiar with each other there are going to be a little extra after each play. I personally liked it. I think most of the kids out there are too nice!! Now I know the knee incident and the helmet pull were a little much, but come on... This is not hopscotch!! A little piss and vinegar will do these boys good!! Stuff like this goes on in practice when the boys merge. I'm looking forward to it when they all get together. There is no whining needed about who and who doesn't have integrity!! If you won, celebrate! If you lost, work harder next time! I'm just glad to see some good coaching over there at Central. Maybe they will start competing every year!  ;)

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
